Sorry canuckinchile. They just didn't play up to their potential. Luango did, but he couldn't carry the entire team.
It's up to the Senators now.

Ugh, I was so hoping the Nucks would dump the Ducks.
Rather a boring series, imo, which could really have gone either way.
The Ducks outclassed Vancouver, but the final results were close in games 2-5 and at least a couple of those games could and probably have should have ended with Vancouver winning.

At least Canada's fate is in good hands with the Sens.
Emery has looked a little shaky at times, but so has Brodeur during this series, so I expect and hope the Sens will take it.
I would of course cheer for any team Mike Fisher plays on purely because of the admiration I have for him as a player

Also, I have to say I'm livid about this Shane Doan controversy.
I can't believe an NHL rep actually had to speak before a parliamentary commitee.
Is the Quebec vote really that valuable?
I would even go as far as to say that I bet most of the people in Quebec couldn't give a crap about the supposed comment he made either.

I feel completely in the dark about this whole controversy, but I think it's utterly ridiculous. It seems to be far too much about worrying about political correctness with Quebec. I don't know, it just seems all to much for me.

Politicians need to stay out of Hockey!! Particularly Quebec politicians!

Doan has been exonerated 2 years ago. He's doing a great job representing Canada and being a great Team Captain.

    He is indeed.
He got a hattrick in the Team Canada game today.

What's really weird about the Doan thing is that although he allegedly cussed out the refs, people who have known him for years say that he's a devout Christian and NEVER swears - our local paper commented that the worst word that anyone's ever heard come out of Doan's mouth is "fudge".

Nice to know our MLAs are keeping themselves busy doing something, I suppose.

What a heartbreaker that game at Buffalo was for the Rags, AJane

I love the salute to the crowd that they do at the end of home games.
I wish more clubs would adopt that.
Growing up watching football (soccer) the players always salute the crowd by applauding above their heads when they leave the pitch.
I remember the first time I saw a hockey game and the players just left the ice at the end I was shocked that they just skated off and didn't acknowledge the crowd.

I don't want either of the western conference teams to win.
How do you choose between Bertuzzi and Brad May winning the cup?

Hope that neither of them get the cups? Yikes, that's just quite the conundrum. I've honestly lost interest in the finals. It's too bad, I wish I had more interest.

I'm slightly stunned that Ottawa have a 3-0 lead over Buffalo.
They've outplayed them in every area imo and thoroughly deserve the lead, but I'm still surprised by the difference in the standard of play.
Buffalo looks unlikely to even win an game in this series at this point, let alone make a fight of it.

Typical to see a Brian Burke team go the route Anaheim went last night.
Pronger should get agame for the hit on Holmstron, imo.
I think they punished the wrong guy in giving Neidermeyer five and a game misconduct.
I think it was Pronger that did the damage, although had Holmstrom actually worn his helmet correctly then he night not have been so shaken.
I hope the fact that Holmstrom got a few stitches and was able to come back for the third period doesn't give Pronger a pass for his hit.
Hollweg barely missed a shift after Simon swung the club at his face so it shouldn't be a factor imo.
Hockey seems to have a habit of treating big names differently.

Pronger has been suspended for 1 game.
