Did anyone check out the hockey players partypoker tournament? Only the first 2 preliminary rounds went today. I can't remember who was playing, but it was great to watch them out of the hockey atmosphere.

I sometimes like watching Partypoker. It should be fun to watch hockey players compete.

Good news. Phil Kessel seems like he'll be fine.

Kessel, 19-year-old former University of Minnesota player drafted in the first round this year, is expected to rest for two weeks before getting back on the ice. Dr. David Judge, a team internist, termed the prognosis ''excellent.''

I'll be at the Blue Jackets/Red Wings game tonight. We're having our company Christmas party in one of the party towers there thanks to Pepsi-Cola. Tickets $100 ea. Pepsi is picking up the whole tab including food and beverages. Yes it includes other beverages besides Pepsi products.

That's awesome. Have some non-Pepsi beverages for all of us.

Hey Unk, I hope you had a good time especially since Columbus won the game. A couple of girls from work went to their first hockey game ever this year and they were discussing it the other day by the water cooler. I thought it was so cute because they were saying that they were a little disappointed there wasn't someone commentating on the play during breaks like they have on TV. I told them if they really wanted commentary they could listen to the radio on headphones at the game like some people do. They didn't find that funny.

I had a great time. The Jackets jumped out to 3-0 lead in the first period and hung on to win 4-3. Pepsi has agreed to host our party again next year. I was talking with their rep who was there, telling him how my nephew is coming up from Nashville for the Preds Jackets game in January. He's going to get some tickets for that game, hopefully in Pepsi's suite. Score! The party tower where we were was a 2 story suite, Here's a couple of pictures.
