They may have been better than in recent games but even if they get to the semi finals they are going to be slaughtered by Germany or Argentina!

Until the last whistle blows I will always have faith in them. I think that we could pull it off. Stranger things have happened.

Sweden was eliminated against Germany yesterday . It was sad (although I had betted it in my betting pool at work). Sweden didn't play well for the most part of the game, if they had played like the second half against England at least we would have given Germany a chance.

What I really didn't like in the game was the referee's smug smile when Teddy Lucic was given the red card. Or the German player applauding the referee in the background. Both of those actions were not very sporting.

Just read a report of the Portugal Holland match. 4 red and 12 yellow cards I think. Must be a record!

Ukraine KO Tunisia in 1-0 on disputed shot. I'll take it

The win makes the Ukraine newcomers the first former-Soviet republic to reach the tournament's second round.

They would not meet either of them in the semi finals (if they make it of course), they are in a different side of the draw..I fancy England chances of making it to the finals though..even at the expense of Brazil..

It sucks that they lost on a penalty in injury time.

Sorry I got it wrong but England have been very lucky so far. They'll never win if they continue to play so badly.
