I'll be a bit generous and say 10 games before his first injury.

![]() The Kings signed the guy with half-dust knees, Valeri Bure. Okay, okay, potential for a good bet here, will Lindros get a concussion before or after Bure injures his knees? The Flames re-signed Miikka Kiprusoff and Rhett Warrener. Jeeeez, how many times did I have to type the same letter twice in a row in that sentence? Four times, at least. The 'Canes re-signed Eric Cole and Jesse Boulerice. Sabres re-signed goalie Ryan Miller and defenceman Brian Campbell. The Caps aqcuired defenceman Bryan Muir from the Kings for nothing.

| When hockey players think they deserve all the money they make and deserve more, it's salary arbitration! *doo doo doo-doo dooooooo* 4 players have declared war-uh...filed for arbitration against the Isles. Mike York, Justin Papineau, Brent Spoel and Trent Hunter. Hah! I'd laugh if the Isles lost all these guys. It's the Sens vs. Marian Hossa in Ottawa! Don't you agree that this talented hockey player deserves more millions of dollars? It's not all good news for the Pens, ick Tarnstrom and Josef Melichar filed for arbitration. I have a feeling that Melichar is outta there. Brenden Morrow has filed for arbitration against Dallas. Shawn Horcoff vs. Edmonton Paul Mara vs. Wayne Gretzky(Phoenix) Mathias Ohlund vs. Vancouver San Jose vs. Alexander Korolyuk Florida vs. Roberto Luongo On to signings (S) and re-signings (RS)...too many, though, so I'm only reporting ones that I think will make an impact on the current roster of the team. The B's RS Jiri Slegr Habs RS Jan Bulis Sens RS Antoine Vermette, Anton Volchenkov, Jason Spezza, Chris Neil Blues RS Mark Rycroft and Ryan Johnson Leafs RS Nik Antropov and Clarke Wilm Caps S Jamie Heward Caps RS Matt Pettinger Some news... You might've known this-Kenny Jonsson staying in Europe. Rumors saying Alexanger Mogilny will either sign in Florida or with the Caps. Some people think he'll just retire. Don't count on this happening-Ottawa trading Martin Havlat and Brian Lee to Boston for Joe Thornton. |

| Agghh! I'm getting really tired of Sidney Crosby articles in the paper! Every day in the I look in the sports section and all I see is an article explaining in a slightly different way than yesterday that Sidney Crosby is a great hockey player, or Sidney Crosby is a big deal in Pitssburgh. Seven straight days of this! ![]() Oh, and Chris Gratton is back in Florida, he signed with the Panthers. |

| Not much been going on in the past two days... Trent Hunter and Mike York were signed by the Islanders, I think they avoided arbitration. York will get 2.05 million and Trent Hunter only gets 1 million. (Heh. Only.) |

| The B's keep on signing! They signed about 9 minor leaguers although Brad Boyes might be able to crack the B's line-up. The Wild signed Daniel Tjarnqvist. The Pens re-signed Josef Melichar. The Czechs and Russians refused to sign the player transfer deal. The Canes signed Pavel Brendl. |

| The Pens are going crazy-Rangers style! They signed another notable player who's had some disappointing seasons in recent years, John Leclair. Oh, and Mario Lemieux will not play for Canada in Turin, although the Czechs and Russians have put NHL participation in the Olympics in jeopardy. |
