| Wow! Didn't see this coming- The Isles have signed LW Miroslav Satan and just recently traded Mike Peca to the Oilers for Mike York and a conditional draft pick. Mike Milbury very busy today... |

| JR more seniors may be headed your way. Modano may also be headed to Boston since he can't work it out with Dallas. They also signed xtreme slacker Bergeron . Ask him about his his little rehab trip to Paree sometime. Forsberg's a flyer ?- Hahahaha He's way too delicate.First time he dives the fans in Philly will kick his ass then lynch him.Look for a repeat on how they treated Lindros. If he's well begrugingly I don't think they can be beat with the rest of the crew they have. Peca and Pronger to the Oilers. LA's a good place for Roenick They turfed his butt out in favor of Floppa. Satan went to the Isles in place of whiny Peca. Cujo supposedly to Pittsburgh to help Marc- Andre get up and running.Look for him to be riding the bench before the years out. Niedermayer is close to signing with Edmonton or back in NJ . The leafs will be crap but then whats new? At least they can be lower priced crap. Biggest upcoming signing there is Jason I haven't played in almost three years Alison. The Habs were supposedly after Floppa too, but he was proably too rich for their payroll after they signed Kovalev. Hurricanes maybe shaping up a bit after signing both Mike Commodore ( think big red fro) and Cory Stillman ( think the last guys that won the cup) Don't even talk about the Panthers with the last few wonderous draft picks + Nieuwy and Roberts. They will certainly be respectable. Mostly I'm just dizzy keeping up. It will be freaky to see who finally will be suiting up where. ![]() Hi all . don't forget nhlhottopics is back online after a years layoff for um well you know. All hockey so y'all don't bore the non hockey rest of the world. E-mail me for the url if you didn't get your reminder for those who used to go there from the beforetime. It's all very fuzzy now as I begin to block the last year out. |

| I'm kind of liking that the wealth has now spread, so to speak, and teams like Columbus, Florida and Atlanta are getting these big named players. That, and the new rule changes are going to make this a very interesting season indeed! TSN is now reporting Modano HAS signed with Dallas. 5 years. $17.5 mil. And the Roenick rumors continue --- supposedly a three way deal is in the works with him either ending up here in LA, or in Phoenix. Don't forget Sidney Crosby will be on Leno tomorrow night! ![]() |

| WooHOO, the Flyers finally righted a wrong for that 1991 debacle that gave away Forsberg (and Hextall, Duschene, Ricci) and essentially handed Colorado their Cups... for Lindros?? ![]() bonus- this forces the Flyers to unload Roenick! a good day in Flyer Nation... i am now officially ready for the season to get going!! | |

| Anaheim could be a Stanley Cup contender after today's signings of brothers Rob and Scott Niedermayer. Now, if only Rob lived up to his early offensive expectations... Chicago still hasn't signed any big-name players, something they desperately need. Recent signings of Martin Lapointe and Jaroslav Spacek will help up the offensive output and make Chicago a tougher team. The Sabres helped out their weak defence by signing Teppo Numminen, who's past his prime...but he could help out all those young Sabres prospects who I can't name. |

Yeah, but can Forsberg stay healthy? It's been a few good days in Flyers Nation...I think they might win Stanley this year (Actually, I think a few teams could win this year, the Flyers are just a front-runner). But then again, it could all depend on my first question: Forsberg's health. | |

| Forsberg is only 32 and he's had a whole year and a half off to rest... I'm not overly concerned about the regular season- Forsberg could play 20 regular season games for all i care... just as long as he's 100% and ready to strap em up come playoff time. Hopefully Hitchcock and Clarke finally realize it's not about the President's Cup- and give their regulars a few healthy scratches to save them for the post season. eta: from the Flyers website... The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have traded center Jeremy Roenick and the Nashville Predators’ third round pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for future considerations, according to club General Manager Bob Clarke. future considerations?? thats like giving him away?? i figured the flyers would at least get a 2nd line fw for him? | |

| What an odd move, especially since a third round pick and Roenick probably could've gotten a 1st round pick in next year's draft. I think Philly ran out of money to get a second line forward, and the Kings don't have good players that would actually make the second line on a better team, except for Demitra and Frolov. Frolov would be a good fit on the Flyers. |
