Poor Dora!!

Didn't that happen earlier in the playoffs too...not that she had to find another venue, but that there was no game for a few days...I remember Don and Ron talking about it.

She was at the Sens rink for a few days so they had to take a break.
Ridiculous really at that stage of the playoffs, they must have known or at least strongly hoped they'd still be in the running and need the rink.
They didn't last much longer though.
I think she cursed them, now my poor Mike probably won't win the Selke and illogically I blame Dora.

CANES WIN 5-4 in First Game of Finals!!!

The Oilers lost a great game. While ahead by a 3-0 lead, it was the battle of the GOALIES!!! The Game was won by the Canes because of Cam WARD!! and the Oilers lost the game by second goalie Ty Conklin who came in late in the third to replace an injured Dwayne Rolofson.

ROLO IS INJURED....HE'S OUT FOR THE SERIES

That changes our prospects dramatically Odds are whoever wins the first game has a 70% chance of winning the series. Which means that the little monkey is wrong. I hope that's not true.

Although, I'm sure the monkey was thinking Rollie would be in net the entire time! It sucks that he's out...but hopefully the other two can step it up!

Thanks whippetcrazy for jumping on our wagon. It was a sad a dreary night on Whyte Ave that's for sure. You think someone actually died. Well, our hopes that Roloson would take us to the Cup certainly did. There's a blanket of sadness covering the City today.

Premier Ralph Klein and North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley have put some homegrown grub on the line, and both say they're confident the other will be soon be eating their words.

Caroline has wagered Cheerwine along with Carolina barbecue pulled pork and a side of slaw. Klein has bet a serving of Alberta beef, Taber corn and Nanton spring water on the Cup.

And our guy Gary, from JOE FM radio, got caught by security after throwing the Alberta Beef onto the ice and got put into handcuffs and arrested!! We're not sure if he'll be able to get back in to do it for the second game. All is not looking well.

I guess this might also mean that if the Oilers win the Cup, Roloson doesn't get the Smythe.
