So whatever happened to the favorite...? Not even a factor it appears.

Look how dirty that jockey's face is?! I never realized how much the dirt must fly up on the track. Seriously - he has cakes of mud on his face - is that really possible just from that little race?

It looked like Bellamy Road finished around sixth from what I could see. I'll have to listen and see if they say. I lost track of him.

Bellamy Road's owner is the owner of the Yankees, George Steinbrenner, so I'm glad he lost.

    7th.

    Hee.

A 50-1 horse won. Actually the real time odds on Kentuckyderby.com feeds said it fell to 45-1 near race time (although Bob Costas just reported him as 50-1)

Man, Bob Costas is in every damn thing.

They just interviewed Sir Richard Branson. He said he'd never seen so many beautiful women in his life as he has in his short stay in Kentucky.

JD should have gone. Kid Rock was there.

Let's just hope Steinbrenner doesn't take it out on the horse.

that was by far and away the best Kent Derby i've ever seen...

the superfecta- (picking the top 4 horses) paid $1.7 million on a $2 bet. nationally, there were 6 winners of the superfecta- all of them had $1 bets which paid roughly $670,000 after taxes.
