Yanks have now lost 9 out of 10, though tonight they ran into a healthy Ben Sheets (best pitcher in the NL last year not named Clemens, and pretty darn close to him).

Pedro is 7-1, NL Cy Young no doubt.
Steinbrenner must be ready to blow.

See, now I thought Ben Sheets was good (don't follow NL) and then last night I see his record is something like 1-5?? That confused me. Was he hurt earlier this season and it affected his wins?Yanks have now lost 9 out of 10, though tonight they ran into a healthy Ben Sheets (best pitcher in the NL last year not named Clemens, and pretty darn close to him).
Well wins are a team dependant stat, not the player. Just ask Roger Clemens
But yes, Sheets missed 5 weeks with a inner ear infection that gave him vertigo, so he is just now getting healthy.

Congrats to ARod, who made major league history again last night. As Jason Stark at ESPN says:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/column...son&id=2073025On Wednesday night at Miller Park, Alex Rodriguez became the first player in history to hit his 400th home run before the age of 30. Let's try to give you some perspective on what that means.
• That's two years and three months younger than Aaron was when he hit No. 400.
• It's almost two and a half years younger than Willie Mays was when he hit No. 400.
• It's four years and two months younger than Bonds was when he hit No. 400.
• It's four years and seven months younger than Mark McGwire was when he hit No. 400.

Cubs are absolutely mopping the floor with The BoSox right now!! Burnitz just hit his second homer, Maddux hit a solo homer...Currently its 11-2.
I can't complain about how the cubs have been playing lately! They won, I think 13 of their last 20, and that is with Wood, Prior, and Garciaparra injured.

Dude, Mrdob, I just looked at the score, and I am thrilled as well!![]()
Cards beat the Yankees 8-1 tonight.

This has nothing to do with the 2005 season, but it is a cool story.
In 1970, this guy threw a no-hitter while tripping on acid.
Other than that, I'm going to the Cubs - White Sox game Sunday.
It's at Comiskey (US Cellular Park, whatever), though.![]()
