The kicker is the box, eny- the fact we have to actually spend $100 or whatever to buy the digital cable box makes his tightwad ass clench up.

Irbe and Hasek hit the Soviet league within a few years of each other. I remember a quote from him that he was awesome at 16.
Irbe quit the league in protest over the treatment of Latvia, and almost never played hockey again.

20 bucks a month or something we paid to buy it. If you don't buy it its 10 bucks a month like forever. Do the math tightwad. Sheesh what else is there in that godforsaken place he's dragged you to to spend money on? Opera tickets?

Yeah Irbe is great, I remember the Sunday Report or whatever on him during the playoffs, they showed him back in '94 after the Sharks beat the Red Wings. Irbe played Hasek and made a few jokes about how ollllld Hasek is (Hasek's only about four or so years older than him) and when Hasek heard he had a typical "I have a big fat stick up my ass (and I like it)" reply.

People call Irbe the Poor Man's Hasek but I think Hasek is the Poor Man's Irbe.

eny, I'm going to work on Dylan for sure this weekend after the Family Day at work- ew ew ew! I'll even offer to throw in $20 bucks... hey, I make five bucks an hour babysitting occasionally, he's Mr Bigwig at the mine. $20 bucks is more than generous.

    Irbe! *Ducky claps*

Remember when he grabbed that Old Wing and dragged him across the ice? Remember when he got his first playoff shutout? Those were good times.

The Avalanche will play the Montreal Canadiens at Le Colisee Pepsi on Saturday at 5:30pm Mountain Time, marking the first time since 1995 that the team has returned to Quebec City. The game can be heard live on KKFN AM-950 and the Colorado Avalanche Radio Network

Cool - the Nordique come home !!!!!! Only Foote, Sakic and Forsberg remain of the team that left.

That's so nice for everyone in Quebec City. I hate that there are only 6 Canadian teams left and there are teams in US cities that have no business being there!!!

And wow Ducky, that's quite the avatar. Um, can I borrow the S&M gear sometime? (So long as you thoroughly clean it, that is)
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.
