Sher got to see playoff games ?
::: Ducky and Eny look at Sher with much jealousy:::

Cool trick , never trust a programmer.....

Here is a story that will make Ducky happy and very cool. Will not happen in Dallas - sorry

    From Face Off:

EDMONTON (CP) - The NHL is evaluating a proposal that could see the battle of Alberta move outdoors to Commonwealth Stadium in 2004. Frank Brown, a spokesman for the league, confirmed Friday that they are considering the idea of having the Edmonton Oilers play the Calgary Flames in the 60,000-seat football stadium, but it would be premature to suggest the game is a lock.

"There's no possible way that we are in anything more than an evaluation process right now," Brown said.

"There are a lot of things to be considered."

Edmonton Mayor Bill Smith said the proposal has received tentative approval from both the league and the players' association and the city is now in the process of working out a lease with the Oilers.

Smith said it could turn out to be a six-year event, with one game held in November each year.

The Oilers would be responsible for the logistics, including setting up the ice surface, Smith said.

If approved the outdoor game would be a first for the modern NHL, but not for hockey.

Last October, the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines drew a world-record 74,554 spectators to their season opener at MSU's football stadium.

The 3-3 tie was played in temperatures slightly above freezing and with a 40 km/h wind.

Weather will be a big consideration in allowing the game to go ahead in Edmonton, Brown said.

Yeah that'd be awesome! I heard about that eny. I will kill myself laughing at the wimpy south Alberta boys playing in ooh, -10, -15 weather max in November. Oh its so cold! Boo hoo. Spend thirty seconds outside as you scream at your dog to take a piss already when it's -50 with windchill at midnight in the dead of winter and THEN you'll experience cold.

Sher, run and hide. Run far, and fast. *seethes with non-playoff watching rage*

Toronto Maple Leafs, how do you suck? Let me count the ways.

The Leafs lost 7-1 to the Sens last night in their first pre-season match.
Then on the way home from a meal out Matthew and me listened to die-hard fans calling in to Leaf Talk on Mojo radio to say how great Eddie Belfour is.
    "That's Numberwang!"

Eddie was um er nervous .. that's it nervous, and he hasn't broken in the new pads and helmet yet... ya that works...
and he's not used to this climate yet .... that works too....it's the smog .....the ice was bad....
Eddie will be fine and he looks really good in blue.(ducks)

I'm glad they let the St Johns kid in the nets for a while, but where was the big Kidd?Maybe his helmet wasn't dry, or Domi got nuts when he was shaving the beard and slipped.....

Listened to a great local junior game (the AJHL) on the radio tonight, the Barons won over the Royals, it was 3-3 with 6.7 seconds left when the Royals iced the puck. On the ensuing faceoff Marchant scored his fourth of the game (yes he scored all four goals) at 4.something and the Barons won after being down 3-1 in the second. So yeah it was cool. Overtime is 3 on 3 for five minutes and then it goes down as a tie in the AJHL, I don't know what it's like elsewhere. Anyway, it was cool. I wish I could have gone but I was babysitting.

Ha, sorry eny. I know your pain, the Avs lost by the same score. At least it wasnt our number one in net though! Ha ha. Eh.

    Domi IS nuts.

    Forsberg at camp!!!
Denver post says he showed up early at exibition game but was scratched because of hip problems

    speaking of camp -
Management of the Edmonton Oilers are considering moving next year’s training camp to Fort McMurray for five days to support fan support from this region.
Team president Patrick LaForge and general manager Kevin Lowe visited in the summertime and met with city hall officials about rink availability and accomodations.
If this happens expect an exhibition game with the Phoenix Coyotes and owner Wayne Gretzky maybe in attendance.
    woo hoo Ducky

Oh my god, eny, if Wayne Gretzky came to Fort McMurray there would be pandemonium, you should hear how excited everyone gets over the Blueberry Festival. It would be awesome. Of course they would be playing in like the Thickwood Arena or at Mac Island, which has a max seating of like five thousand people. We'd have to make them like, play on the river, so everyone who lives here can go. Seriously this place is soooo far in the sticks. I would love it if the came. Those Phoenix boys wouldn't know what hit them here though.

Rink avaliability? Hello if they said "The Edmonton Oilers want to practice" everyone would drop what they're doing. Rink avaliability would not be a problem.

    OooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOoooooooo. That'd be awesome.

Yes that would be very cool! Hope it happens...

Kidds debut with Toronto was much better than Eddies.Senator lost 3-1 with Tie Domi getting a hat trick . Leafs have not put Darcy Tucker on ice with Alfredsson. Jason Spezza got the only Ottawa goal . yay. I saw him play as a Jr. He was good then. I think he's a star in the making.....
