I love Ron McLean. It's so great to see him in the summer.

It goes without saying, but CBC's coverage is top notch. I've been flipping between CBC and NBC and it's so nice to watch live events. CBC does such a great job of finding events of interest without going overboard on the human interest stories. They do a good job of focusing on ALL the events, not just events that Canadians with a good shot of winning medals are competing in.

And so ends my flag waving moment...
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

I agree that CBC coverage is far superior to NBC.
Shame we can't all watch BBC coverage.
Now they know how to cover sports.

Yes, I can't stand watching NBC's coverage once I watch CBC's... it's just not the same if it's not live. And agree with MissF... Ron Maclean is the best we've got

If only he could take Terry Libel and Brian Williams' spots

We are huge fans of the Olympics here in the applesauce household. I am sure we will be very tired by the end of these games. We enjoy watching just about every sport and love learning about athletes from other countries...particularly those from small or underdeveloped countries that went through so much to make it to the Olympic games.

Congratulations to Michael Phelps today! Keep it up, Michael!

Tomorrow women's gymnastics start and I can't wait! Mohini Bhardwaj (woman in my avatar) was a suprise addition to the individual all-around competition so good luck to her and the whole USA team!

I'm looking forward to women's gymnastics as well. Good luck to Mohini, I heard about her & Pamela Anderson when I was watching the olympic trials, I think. I'm also hoping that the Canadians can try and crack the top 10 in the team event.

    Just a quick question . . .

I was looking for Yanni to possibly perform in the Opening Ceremonies . . .

Has anybody heard anything about him possibly performing in the Closing?

I'm a big fan of his music, and seeing as how he's Greek . . .

    Just wondering.

The TV station here are so stupid. They speak so much crap and no real professional information and the newspapers said today that they talk too much bs. It was too funny

To tell you the truth, I don't really follow them. I cheer for the Canadians because I'm Canadian. But Canada isn't strong in gymnastics. So I'll have to cheer for someone else which will end up being the US.
