It's so sad and difficult. Perdita has just apologized to everyone and the whole country. Glad to see Scott Oake has retained his ability to ask the most idiotic question at the most inappropriate times throughout the summer.

I really feel bad for the Russian as well. It's so difficult for everyone. What do you do? It wasn't intentional.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

Our BBC coverage of the Olympics is ad free. How do adverts affect your coverage of the Olympics. Formula 1 racing has been on ITV in Britain with ads throughout and fans hate it! Doesn't affect me as I hate F1. Most boring sport ever, Schumacher always wins!!

*sigh* I guess it's back to diving now.
Too bad about Alex's 3rd dive miss. Just finished a great 4th dive though!

Wow, that Chinese looks unbeatable right now.

    I can't stand the ads.
The worst thing is I flick to another channel's Olympic covedrage to try and avoid them, get engrossed on what's on that channel and forget to flick back.
You just can't top BBC coverage, even if Des did defect to ITV.

Woohoo! Congrats to Alex for getting the silver in 3m springboard!

Impressive showing by Peng Bo of China getting the gold. Alex beat out the Russian for the silver by just 2 points.

Perdita. Wow, that is a horrible way to lose. I feel so bad for her, it seemed like there was too much pressure on her. Always 2008 though.

Congrats to Alex on his silver, and Lori-Ann's gold though!

Des is back on BBC radio now that ITV lost Prem football. Says he hated the ads. Didn't want him back on Match of the Day.

I think Perdita is sometimes just too fast.
She looked really close to that first hurdle.
It'll be interesting to see it replayed later.

There was just a false start in the mens 1500 final you don't see that too often.

Apparently the medal ceremony for the 100m hurdles has not taken place, the 400m ceremony went on instead.
This might be because the judges are considering whether to rerun the race.
    I stress "might".

I think they must be using that double-sided sticky tape that they use in beauty pageants... I know I got seriously tired of watching Misty May constantly picking her suit bottom out of her butt.

El Guerrouj just won the 1500.
He's crying like a baby, bless him.
