I am a little surprised at Loretta from San Diego. Overall good teams though, and it should be a decent game.

Estrada should be starting catcher, he's played that position all year unlike Piazza who has more time at first than catcher.

for Schmidty and Mulder. But Livan Hernandez? I guess the Expos needed a representative.

    Actually, he's having a not-so bad season.
6 W-7L with a team that's just happy to have a win now and then, is alright, I guess. I suppose Vidro wasn't having a good enough season (290 batting average) and yes, they do need a representative.

It is sad when the Expos' representative is a pitcher with a sub 500 record. I guess Youppi (the mascot) was to open a shopping center and was unavailable.

I agree. I think I read that this Piazza's tenth time being voted as a starter. Crazy.

I'm surprised Aramis Ramirez (3B, Cubs .326 avg, 15 HR, 56 RBI) isn't on at least the reserves list. He's having a career year.

A while ago on Sportscenter, they proposed MLB have a USA vs the World all star game. They showed potential rosters. I thought it was a good idea.
