Re: WWE

well as usual Nancy Grace and her pitbull, Susan Moss have their facts wrong again. Nancy Grace had the nerve to say that "Sleep Apnea isn't something people die from" When she insisted the roids is what killed Wrestler Johnny Grunge. Wrong Nancy I have Sleep Apnea and I sleep with a CPAP machine nightly.Untreated Sleep Apnea can kill.

I love how everytime a wrestler dies it is automaticly assumed to be from sterioids. Do your homework news media.

Re: WWE

Authorities will be releasing the toxicology results in a press conference at 2:30pm. As soon as I get an update on the other site I visit, I will post the findings in here.

Re: WWE

Daniel was sedated with an elevated dosage Xanax when he died. This was noted as unusual, during the press conference. He did not die of a drug overdose.

Nancy Benoit had Xanax, alcohol (which might have been due to decomposition, the medical examiner indicated that there is no way to tell if she'd ingested alcohol or not), and another drug (along with it's decomposed components), with which I'm not familiar. The drugs were all found to be at a theraputic level.

Chris Benoit had steroids in his blood, an elevated testosterone level. They feel he'd been taking steroids for quite some time. However, the other drugs found in his system were, again, at a theraputic level.

The press conference is still going on as I type this.

Re: WWE

That's not what I'm reading. I'm reading that they found Xanax in Nancy and Chris (maybe Daniel, too) but NO OTHER ARTIFICIAL STEROIDS.
- Investigators found Xanax in Chris Benoit. Investigators found testosterone in the urine sample of Benoit. No other artificial steroids were found. No evidence of GHB was found in Daniel, Nancy or Chris Benoit.
Xanax is an antianxiety medication which is what I suspected from the beginning. Still not making light of what happened but if they didn't find any other steroids in Chris's system than maybe we can now stop jumping to the steroid accusation.
Here is the full toxicology results thanks to gerweck.net who posted it as the press conference was happening:
Nancy Benoit – 3 drugs hydrocodone, hydromorphone, xanax – therapeutic level. Blood .184 (decomposition process)

Daniel Benoit – positive for xanax (elevated, not normally given to kids)..Sedated at the time he died

Chris Benoit – xanax, hydrocodone (therapeutic range, not elevated), only steroid testerone - 207 micrograms per liter..

Re: WWE

Well, I'm watching the news conference, not reading anything. Just listening with my own ears.

Re: WWE

The report I just heard on the radio also stated steroids found in Beniot's system.

The AP is reporting that he had ten times the normal level of testosterone in his body and that the authorities say it appears to have been injected shortly before he died. So it sounds to me like the steroid issue is very valid.

Re: WWE

While I firmly believe that the steroid issue is valid and pertinent, it might be that I have just issues with the word 'rage'. To me, someone in a rage doesn't hog-tie and strangle, they beat the other person to death. They don't then administer, many hours later, a sedative, and strangle a second person. And, finally, they don't wait more hours to hang themselves.

In my mind, what this guy did is much worse than fly-off-the-handle in a rage. He tied his wife up, she fought him, too. Then he killed her - he had plenty of time to think about what he was doing. He may or may not have sedated her, as well.

And, how he proceeded for the rest of the time he was alive demonstrates, at least to me, that he was not operating in a 'rage' - if he had been, it would have been over much sooner than it was.

But none of that means, or even implies, that steroids have nothing to do with how he behaved. In fact, I tend to believe just the opposite - that steroids played a key role.

Perhaps I just don't understand the definition of the term 'roid rage', and the 'rage' portion has a different meaning than it does in general usage.
