I wasn't sure if you were a Flames fan or not. My ex in Calgary tries to like them but he's sort of bitter about the whole NHL thing.

I like the pool idea. We have one in my office. The winner gets the "Stanley Puck" trophy. Each year when the playoffs start the trophy goes into hiding and the previous winner adds something to it. Then after the champion is determined, the puck is awarded at a ceremony complete with cake, etc. The puck is now mounted on a block of wood with plaques for each winner (there have been 5), and the block of wood is attached to the top of a silver coffee can.

I picked the Sharks to win it all in my first year in the office, so I failed woefully. But I did win the Trashtalking award. We used to have a guy in our office named Chad that was a huge trashtalker. So the award is the "Lady Chad-Smythe Trophy." I display it in my office with pride.

The Sharks are about to win and move within 6 points of the last spot. And they'll have won 4 of 5!

Of course, they have a road trip coming up with games against the Wild, Blues, Stars, and Wings. Ouch babe.

Holy......Toledo, how did my Stars get up there without my knowing. I am going to be one of those hypocrite people who watches only when their team is doing well! At least till next season starts again.

It's not as fancy as it sounds, Miss F. Though as you'll see from the attached photo, we show it the same respect as the Stanley Cup by doning gloves before we hold it.
