    As a student at Arizona State, we will miss this great student athlete and true American hero. Flags are flying half-staff on campus today - Tillman not only took us to the Rose Bowl in 1997 and won Pac 10 Defensive Player of the Year, plus he graduated early with a 3.9 GPA. One of the best Sun Devils we've had.
    He will be missed, as will all of the other soldiers who have lost their lives.

    They just announced on the local news here in Phoenix that an area outside the new Cardinals stadium being built will be named the Pat Tillman Freedom area.
    I am sure they will retire his number as well. Arizona State University will be retiring his number this season, they announced today. Well deserved.
