Well, just returned from the big parade and celebration at the Forum in downtown Tampa... it must have been 100 degrees out there with mobs and mobs of people! There were very humble speeches given by St. Louis, Lecavalier, Richards, and Andrechuk. That's what I love about this team .... Some of the players are suppose to be on Leno this week but I'm not sure what date yet.

Ok, that's great, Quinn - we'll be on the same side on the NFL site !

Once again .... CONGRATS TAMPA !!!

Here's a shocker : Ray Bourque and Paul Coffey made it into the Hall of Fame. I'm very surprise Dino Ciccarelli, a 608 goal scorer, did not make it.

Also, the WHA will begin play in October 2004. Some rule changes : removal of the center red line, no-touch icing, touch up offside and three on three overtime followed by a sudden death shootout to eliminate ties. I like these changes.

I like every thing except the shootout. I just think it's a crappy way to decide a game. I mean, why not just flip a coin?

I don't like the Red line being taken out. The 3 on 3 should be very entertaining, but I don't like the Shootout. Hopefully they take that out for playoffs.

Sounds like you had a great time Livvy. I'm so jealous. You should be proud of your team.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

I like the no-touch icing and the shootout to get rid of ties. Would love to see the shootout in the NHL to get rid of ties.

I enjoy watching the NHL awards even got to go to them for a few years when they had them at the ACC. Don't think they let the fans go anymore.

It was between Murphy,Glen Anderson and Ciccarelli. I guess Murphy won out.

I like the removal of the center red line, no-touch icing and touch up offside. Not so sure about three on three , as I don't think I've ever seen it in action for a prolonged period. I'd have to watch before I decided. I don't like the shootout, but as my kids point out it's like a free throw in basketball. It just seems that a hard fought game can be thrown out the window too easily.

It's like the penalty shoot-out in football (soccer).
There is nothing more exciting if you're on the right end of a match decided that way and nothing more heart-breaking if you aren't.

My local station decided not to air the NHL awards so now I'm depressed. I turn the tv on at 6pm MST and it's showing local news. :phhht

    Edited to add:
And I'm not one of those people who have ESPN...so no, it wasn't delayed here, it's just not being shown. I get CBC, but my local cable provider decided to put other things in place of it.
