Lightning in 7, how will the Lightning play as the favorite for once? Isles scare me for some reason? isles could be a tough playoff team
Habs in 6? have no reasonable explanation- just a gut feeling
Sens in 7- this one's gonna be great! blood shed and every game will be close...
Flyers in 6, of course i am biased- but NJ is punchless this year (Miss F and Eny make great points in this series)

    Wings in 5- who cares...
    SJ in 7
Canucks in 5, the Nucks are stacked and poised this year to take a sub standard West Conference
Av's in 7- both teams are shells of their former selves...

    Ohhh....
You guys/gals are cracking me up with your comments.....

Lets see my predictions....I suck at this by the way....all based on feelings...which is better then I use to pick who I liked...when I was younger it was all about who had the nicer uniforms

Tampa vs NYI - Tampa in 6
Bos vs Mtl - Habs in 6 ~ Definately going to be a good one....
Phil vs NJ - Philly in 7...I think they will be close games...NJ doesn't seem to have the umph they usually do
Tor vs Ott - Ott in 7....just cause I can't stand TO....although I think it will be an awesome series and you know if TO doesn't win, it will be because of the refs or injuries or .... lets see there have to be other excuses that my brother in law will come up with :rolleyes

    West
Det vs Nashville - Wings in 5....I agree with Eny...Preds will win the first one and the Wings will wonder if it will be all over in 4 again!
SJ vs StL - StLouis ~ in 6....don't know too much about these two teams to really comment
Van vs Calgary - Canucks in 7....I agree with Homer on this one....Flames will not be a pushover....good series that will make it worth stayin up to watch the late game
Col vs Dallas - I'm on the fence with this matchup....I definately think it will go to 7 games....Is Kariya out?? Why did Turco get suspended, will he be back....questions, questions....I think this will be another good series though!

    I'm excited for playoffs!!

I was just over at TSN....reading what Bob McKenzie had to say...
He basically said wait for the Monkey....
    but this had me

The Western Conference appears to be a lot more comforting. I mean, come on, do you honestly think the Might Ducks of Anaheim, ooops, I mean the Nashville Predators could actually beat the Detroit Red Wings, who go into the playoffs with some goaltending issues? I think you get the picture.

I can't wait for the return of Maggie !! It would be so great if the Preds won . Here's a pic and Duthies latest column
For the US folks Maggie is a monkey at a local zoo who predicted the Ducks going to the final last year, series by series. She became more famous than the sportscasters she was working with. We'll see what she has to say this year

Actually , I'm revising my Isles Tampa Bay to TB in 4. For some reason they started in his FIRST NHL game yesterday AHL goalie Wade Dubielewicz. Now he's listed as player of the year , but starting an AHL goaltender against the Art Ross winner ( St Louis) can't be good. Unless he's the reincarnation of Patrick Roy , it could be very bad.

I haven't being paying attention to the Isles, so not sure whats up with DiPietro.I know Snow has a groin thing.

Kariya was hurt in yesterdays game , and Tanguay has just started skating. Rob Blake and Steve Konowalchuk were mysteriously missing as well. Ouch Colorado , as Marty Turco and Lehtinen returned for the Stars , and Arnott is suposed to be back. Shane Corson scored two goals , but as the Leafs found out , he's a hindrance not an advantage most of the time. Still I think the Avs will get their groove back.

If the Sens had Lalime at full steam , they could easily beat the Leafs. Prusek and whoever the kids was that played on Saturday showed they couldn't stop a beach ball. If the teams are evenly matched offensively , the Leafs have an advantage in goaltending.

    Thanks, Eny!

    Here goes nothing:

    East:

Lightning-Isles : I have to go with the Bolts, they have St-Louis and Khabibulin. Let's say in 6.
Bruins-Habs : I really have to go with my Habs. Hoping that Jose will stay on top of things. If Souray stays healthy along with other key players, it should be a very close one. I'll say in 7, because I do love the Bruins.
Sens-Leafs : It pains me to say this, since I would love to see the cup sometime, but T-dot have the best goalie and they play a hockey style that the Sens just can't beat. Toronto In 5.
Devils-Flyers: Martin Brodeur. That is all. Devils in 6.

    West:
Evil Red Wings-Preds : I'm going to pull a "Maggie the monkey" here and say the Preds in 7. Let me be the only FORT member to have this one wrong.
Blues-Sharks :This one is hard for me, but since the Blues have acted like clowns this year and the Oilers deserved to be in the playoffs more than they did, I'm going with San Jose in 6. Go Alyn!
Nucks- Flames: I'll say the Canucks in 6.
Avs-Stars: The Avs have to win this one. In 6. Aebi, you can do it!

    Well, here goes.

    East:
    Lightning in 6
Canadiens in 7 (That will be a tough series, and it could easily go the other way.)
    Flyers in 5
    Leafs in 6

    West:
Predators in 4 (Total wishful thinking, but why not?)
    Sharks in 5
    Canucks in 6
Avs in 6, if they know what's good for 'em.

Yeah, it sucks. Kariya's out indefinitely with a sprained ankle. Luckily, Blake and Konowalchuk were healthy scratches (so they could rest their weary selves). They are expecting Nikolishin back soon--he's been out for about ten games with back spasms.
