I have a question about the statistics. I was looking at them and I was wondering how you get a negative/positive score. For example Nils Ekman had a -1, but Mike Ricci had a +1.

ETA- the Canucks/ Flames game? Going into overtime!

I have a question about the statistics. I was looking at them and I was wondering how you get a negative/positive score. For example Nils Ekman had a -1, but Mike Ricci had a +1.

I believe the +/- is a result of who is on the ice when a goal is scored. If you are on when you score, you get a plus , If you are on when the other guys do, you get a minus. If you are always on when the other guys score, it indicates that maybe you are adjusting your hair or something, instead of trying to play defensively . Obviously that night Ricci wasn't paying attention to his hair (I think I just grossed myself out BTW).
That's the way I think it's supposed to go , but sometimes I look at the +/- and think what the ?


I fell asleep at the beginning of period 2OT , and just woke up and checked who won. For a couple of "kids", those two goaltenders did ok to weather that much OT with so little experience. What a zoo at that rink , those fans were great.

I thought Darren Langdon was great too.

Oh man, talk about a party! I just got home from downtown Abby...when the Canucks scored we were going nuts at my friends place. Then we went downtown and the cops asked us if "we wanted to go to jail." Because we were standing with a foot on the street. He had his baton in one hand so I decided to keep my wise ass comments to myself. The Flames first goal should not have counted, but in the end it all worked out for us. Can't wait until game 7...if we win there will be an even bigger party. Bring on the riot squad!
