I hate when series are determined by refs and not play. They seemed to start out good , but have reverted to the call em when you feel like it mode. I hope Ribero's antics aren't making the refs go against Mont.

It's kind of evened out for the leafs /sens . They crap on one team then the other , so It's equal so far. I've seen "what the? "penalties called on both sides.

You normally have to come close to killing someone to get a penalty on OT, I'm surprised they called the one on Murray and gave the Habs a powerplay. I think I'm going to change my name to Raycroft

Kovalev giving up on the play like that is unacceptable. Suck it up sissyboy!

Mantenna, your comments about the officiating peaked my interest, so I took a look at the numbers. I know they won't include plays you felt should have been penalties and weren't, but I think the numbers are interesting.

Game 1: Dallas was 0-5 on the pp. Colorado was 0-4.
Game 2: Dallas was 1-7 on the pp. Colorado was 3-9.
Game 3: Dallas was 2-4 on the pp. Colorado was 1-2.

So, for the series, Dallas has gone 3-16 on the pp, Colorado 4 for 15.

That looks like a pretty evenly called series to me. And you can complain about the officiating all you want, but you have to admit that both the goal that tied the game and the goal that won the game were even strenth.

It also looks like both teams need to tighten up their penalty kills: 81% for the Avs and 73% for the Stars isn't going to get it done.

Go Avs! (that's for Mantenna and Ducky.)

the refs certainly seem to be calling it close during the first round... i'm okay with it for now- as long as it stops all of the neutral ice interference and grabbing, holding etc...

I dont know if Esche is the man to carry the Flyers all the way to the cup- but he has looked great in this first round...

I was watching the Sens-Leafs game (Alfredsson, cut your hair! ) and Matthew Perry was in the arena!

There's nothing like a win in overtime.

Err Quinn... slightly off-topic but Barry Bonds sounds good right about now.

Alfie did cut his hair , and got highlights too ( apparently) He still looks like Krusty the clown.

Sundin and Tucker both hurt- bad news.

    Yay Avs !!!

I'm actually pulling for the Flyers over the Isles. I think the Flyers/TB series will be awesome.

I'm just enjoying nightly games !!
