Ok I feel better since UNC got their butts handed to them by Maryland. I'll take a loss out of conference anytime to a conference loss. Still wish Wake could have beat those Longhorns! I think you are right though LoneStar....they might have been looking ahead.

Illinois is just playing crappy in conference play. First a loss at home to Purdue, breaking a 2 year home winning streak. And now, last night they lost to lowly Northwestern---I say lowly, but geez, NW is 3-0 in the Big10 now! What has become of the Big10 and my Illini?? I know those guys have skills. But they are not shooting consistently.

I think this will leave 1 team from the Big10 in the top 25. That's ridiculous for such a large conference.

    Deacon's lose again...not good for JORY'sMom.

Weird season going on. Looks like a down year for the Big 12 and they might get only 4 in the Tourney.

It seems like its all ACC, Big East, and SEC this year, LoneStar. Big 12 still has a lot of talent, as does the Big 10 and the Pac 10. But I would say that the days of the Mid-Majors as doormat for the Major conferences is over. I recently read an article on ESPN.com about the fact that a lot of talented kids are heading to the Mid-major and smaller schools for increased playing time and the opportunity to shine, instead of being a bencher for his first couple of years and overshadowed by the really big boys that tend to go to the Dukes, NC's, UCONN's, and UK's out there.

No upset on the road for UCLA last night. At one point, Stanford was up 40-18! Final score looks kinda wimpy, though: 67-52. Still unbeaten with a 2-game lead in the Pac-10. Lookeeng good.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

I'd pay good money to see a Standford/Duke matchup.

The question will always be: Can they string 6 wins in a row together come late March? All of these teams go through a couple of days where they are just not playing up to par, and the unexpected team comes out of nowhere and beats them. I like Stanford in the Pac 10, but can they perform when it counts? Not in recent years.

How about the Richmond Spiders last night?? Beating Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse? Damn!!! And Florida St. coming from 24 back to beat UNC. Gotta love college hoops!!
