That would be basketball. I used to be a high school hoops junkie too and I went to about 10 of the Illinois state tournaments. I saw current NBA'ers like Mike Finley, Keon Clark and Kevin Garnett.

Ahhh, okay...I'm only a so-so basketball fan. I guess its because the brand of ball played by my alma mater (U of Miami) has been so bad most of the time. I'm much more of a College Baseball fan.....just a few of the guys I've seen play for the 'Canes....Pat Burrell, Aubrey Huff, Jason Micheals, Greg Vaughn, Orlando Palmiero, Alex Ferņandez, Bobby Hill, Neal Heaton....and those coming to play the Canes have included, Dion Sanders (F$U), Todd Helton(Tennessee), Mike Mussina(Stanford), Roger Clemens(Texas), Mo Vaughn (Seton Hall), just to name a few off the top of my head.

    Nothing like it

Oh wow....it's so much fun, and you get to see guys playing for the sport, not for money. It's not as high profile as college football or basketball....most college baseball players are actually students and have no aspirations of playing after college. There are only 11.7 scholarships per NCAA rules, so no one on the team gets a full-ride, so they have to be students 1st, then baseball players.

Give it a try sometime....it's a pretty amazing game the college baseball one.

I LOVE the San Jose Sharks! They are the most underrated team in the NHL, just LOADED with talent.

Keep your eyes on them, they are going to run away with the cup this year thanks to all their big name aquisitions.

okay, so I'm not a REAL fan of San Jose, but I'm a fan of Wayner, and I didn't want him to think he was the only SJ fan

Not really...I think he meant the Illinois State (HIGH School) tournaments.
