Just out of idle curiosity, does anyone know how Maame pronounces her first name? I've only seen it in print, as opposed to hearing it said aloud, and I just wondered how to say it. Given her father's sign, I assume I know how to pronounce her last name, but I'm not sure what to do with the double a in her first name.

Thank you! I had no idea what to do with the double A. To be honest, at first I thought it might have been a typos/misprint, but when I googled the name, it was clear that it wasn't.

Even if it's just for show and just for now, I'm finding great relief that Korea is united for the Olympics. Whoever thought there would be a "Korea"! And his sister is gorgeous, how did that happen! LOL

I wish the Olympics could be live. I don't like that they're carefully packaged for our view, although I suppose we get to see more that way. Even avoiding hearing the scores ahead of time it doesn't seem as real.

Does anyone have a link to a broadcast schedule?

I simply think that its the time difference.

Right now its 7:30am in California and 12:30am in Korea.

So all the athletes are sound asleep. So for me live is THEIR middle of the night.

Right, I get why they have to do something about the time difference, I just like watching my sports programs live, which isn't possible for most potential venues of the Olympics.

There is always a time difference, some morning events you can watch live..never bothers me. I enjoy the recaps..
I just saw highlights of the opening, but the whole thing is on again tonight
I should hope the Koreans would come together, the whole Olympics is about Peace..

One of the first things the NBC announcer said was that because of the time difference, we'd be seeing a lot of things live . . . particularly a lot of the daytime stuff (which will be the skiing and outdoor events. Those things that take place at night (indoor finals) will be shown to us the next night, I assume.

The bad thing about "live" feeds is that . . . as happened last night . . . they opt to throw in a commercial and we miss performances. The Israeli couple wasn't expected to do well, but they ended up in first place . . . but we didn't see them skate.
