The Bachelor is so negatively invasive into the lives of the cast, that anything that they want to and are able to keep private is positive IMO. Any cast person should be able to draw a line with their personal information and their families on the show, should they choose to.
This makes me go hmmm...light bulb moment.

Yes, Melissa's parents were part of her storyline, so that's why their being MIA was highlighted, just more evidence of scripting, I bet TPTB didn't expect any hullabaloo about Emily's parents being awol with little Ricki being so prominent.
Since I posted about a study revealing men's lack of skill in chit chat last night it's interesting to read about the womens' mangling of that particular sentence.
It appears that in trying to be polite and saying Brad's name first, they get in a knot, because it would sound so much more natural for them to say, This date... my and Brad's relationship...
    Just saying!
(By the way, how do I get smileys to be available when I post? I usually use quick reply, and can't find any smileys. )

Just saw this. It was Brad who said "will you please stop talking and kiss me" and not Chantal. That was when Brad was talking about it being freaking crazy or something like that. Anyone that thinks that there wasn't something early on with Chantal should watch that date, especially the last part.

Now if Brad was seriously falling in love with Emily don't you think he'd want to meet her parents and get their approval? I question why he wasn't asking her about them? Of course that could have been edited out but why unless she's not the one he wants to propose to?

Brad has said he would not propose to anyone without father approval so somewhere in here we have to get Ricki to SA along with grandparent or get them back on US soil for taht to happen & it has happened before. Its amazing what TPTB can do when they have to or want to. This is where I believe we get a very different ending but a wonderful one
This is the way I see it...Brad chooses Emily, but does not propose at the FRC. RS said it was Chantal but didn't say until sometime later that Brad was engaged, but here's the kicker...He is engaged, but not to Chantal because he didn't choose her. He is engaged to Emily and it was only after meeting Emily's parents IRL and soliciting her father for his daughter's hand in marriage that they became engaged. I'm seeing more reliable info coming from other sources...a reading between the lines if you will. I don't really have a horse in this race and was leaning towards Chantal because she was the spoiled winner but whoever Brad chooses is fine with me.

What other sources? I haven't heard any but those who support RS's spoiler.

Sometimes there are unintended "sources", it doesn't have to be blatant, like RS.
