If Emily was in on it, that means she was a willing participant in the exploitation of herself, her story (and from the previews, her child), for this show, in order to get her own. You don't think that makes her look bad? And I'm not saying that's what has happened, but if you believe Lithargic that this was all a set up, what else are we supposed to think?

I'll never live it down. NEVER! I talked him into watching this show with me and he rolls his eyes enough. But that scene where Emily was crying and they DIDN"T show last week in fact sobbing... I just ain't buying she was in on everything.
I don't either. Emily has simply not given me enough to doubt her. We'll see. Plus if what others on here have been saying ad-nauseum about her being setup as the next Bachelorette - I have yet to see a something about her that 'qualifies' her for me to watch an entire season. With the possible exception of Meredith - all the other Bachelorettes had spunk and personality. They have shown us almost 0% of Emily's personality .... and we are more than 1/2 way done with this show.
The only 2 options (IMO) are that Emily is taken to F2, gets her heart a little bit broken and then carries on her life raising her little girl or despite all spoilers out there, Brad continues to pursue her as he has been doing from Episode 1..........and gets his happy ending.

Yes... and this is what I believe:

1-Brad probably agreed to do TB again and put himself through the torture, so he could make some money. He was probably still going back and forth with Laurel trying to come to terms with their toxic relationship.

2-TPTB added five more girls that were more Brad's type.... since most of the other girls probably screened for CL. Remember, same thing happened when Melissa wasn't Bachelorette like they expected, they found five more guys that were more Jillian's type.

3-Chantal came on the show as a rebound from her ex and maybe to make him jealous.

4-Chantal and Brad have chemistry and did fall in "lust" with each other. They both were coming out of rocky relationships. They have battle scars and they found each other. I believe that Brad picks Chantal because he is truly falling for her. Now we'll see if they last long after the show is over... sometimes dating relationships work, sometimes they don't. We'll see if they can stand the test of time.

Re: Here's What I Was Told

I have to admit here, I'd take a huge grain of salt with the speculation the woman is giving.

The reason is if it is found out to be totally scripted, ABC, Fleiss and others will be in huge trouble because a prize is won. You cannot script a reality show - as in literally doing so. There is enough issues with the rules regarding Reality TV versus game shows, that this would further inflame public attitudes to it.

Plus, if it was found out, it'd be show suicide. "Manhunt" was destroyed when it was indeed found out that they reshot it so a certain person would win the competition and the producers were unhappy with the results. It helped there however that there were far too many bandanas on people's heads (as the hunters shaved the eliminated contestant's heads as a "trophy), and obviously out of place foliage for where they were supposed to be.

Well Yes it makes her look bad. But where is the proof that she knew? I guess I just don't get the judging when Lithargic posted that Chantal was in on it, said nothing of Emily, yet Emily is being thrown in the ringer & Chantal is still being praised. I guess things will never make sense to me.
Some people think that its holding on that makes one strong; sometimes its letting go...

Lithargic said every line Brad came up with was scripted. He said they shot and reshot scenes to get what they wanted. With whom? Michelle and Chantal constantly at one another and Michelle is the supposed actress which now makes total sense in that Chantal is her target and Michelle hers. It all fits just too perfectly for me. He also said that Chantal agreed to go to F1. He said Emily hasn't agreed to do the bachelorette. I guess everyone thinks she will do it. I don't or she would have already said yes if it was all scripted. No problem being scripted the first go round if it was for her..... the second time should be even easier so what's the hold up? Good lord... I'm about as dumb as they come and I just figured it out watching TB!! Brad Brad Brad... I swear I defended you when you sent Lauren a H Birthday message. Don't that take the cake?

I just don't know the real Brad, but I don't think he's this cold-hearted snake who is jerking these girls around esp the ones who aren't "in on it."

I dont believe hes a cold hearted snake either but to the unjaded viewer who believes this series is still about the fairytale, they will likely form not so nice opinions of him.
