Who do you think is the F1?

Here's what we saw in the episode and it was later verified by Brad.

1. Mr. O gave his unsolicited blessing to Brad after Brad said that he had true intentions. We are not shown Brad asking for it.
2. Brad and Ashley obv. do not know enough about each other such that her dad had to tell Brad about Ashley's future plans. I don't remember a blessing there.
3. Mr. N gave his unsolicited blessing though somewhat incredulously. I think that everyone in that room knew that Brawntel was going nowhere fast.
4. No parents to give blessings with Bremily. If he intends to propose, he'll have to do it at some point in the future.

Brad said this about the blessings: "I even received unsolicited blessings from some of the fathers."

Here is where it might get tricky. We are only shown TWO blessings, Chantal and Shawntel's dads. We don't see Ashley's. Ashley's dad could have offered his, but it was cut, so that leaves just C and S. We'd then assume that he didn't ask for either of their dads' blessings since he said in his blog that some of the blessings were unsolicited.

To make it more confusing, he could have asked for Chantal's dad's, but it was editing so that we didn't see it. Ashley's was left out. We then assume that he didn't ask for Chantal's dad's blessing when he very well could have.

We only know for sure that he didn't ask for Emily's dad's.

I"m pretty sure Ashley's dad said something to that effect. It was interrupted when Ashley came out the door. Then there was the joke about Brad giving Ashley's dad a rose cause they got along so well.

The ring Brad picked is waaaay more pretty than the ring they showed. No way that was a $90,000 ring... it looked like something from Kay jewelers.

I have been to WTA and ATFR tapings and I wasn't invited..And no one never knew..Because of that reason..Didn't wanted to be haunted to "spill"

I can respect your position with one small adjustment. If you are going to attend and advertise that fact, you would have to expect to be hounded. I personally would never ask you to compromise a contract knowing that you had attended. I would ask if you had fun etc, but I am very aware of what it means to sign a confidentiality contract. But, I am not everyone, and I am not surprised to hear of your experiences.

Honestly Brad blogs sometimes strike me as a shout out to Emily..The unsolicited comment did strike me as odd..Is he letting us know that what we took as a clue on Monday's episode isn't a clue in favor of Chantal afterall because he would only ask F1's dad his blessings and that's yet to come in a future episode. I really don't know..
The way I saw the convo with Mr O..with the uh oh from Brad followed by I have true intentions..Mr O jumped in to ease the tension ..I didn't see it as unsolicited.
I'm rooting for Brantal but keeping an open mind.. I'd hate to have the rug pulled from under my feet.
I keep going back to their dates and the media interviews.. add to that Brad's statement said directly to the dad.."She is incredible and I'm lucky she's here"
I would love for it to Be Chantal at the end because that's the love story I'm watching but I won't be totally shocked if it's Emily, not after seeing that Em is showing some emotions finally..
PS..I wish though that Brad didn't use that comment..unsolicited..the families were welcoming and warm, He tried to smooth it out with "I apprecite that" but still..

I hope there are some folk on here that go but don't tell anyone but still manage to drop strong clues. I just love the guessing and sleuthing stuff that you guys do on here.

Since Matts season - the F2 were well known. Matts was the season that no one would believe that Amanada did not reach the F2 and there were leaks and clues after the WTA that she was history. That was fun!

You seem to be in sleuthers mode with that comment If you watch some of their dates on youtube 1 on 1 or Anguilla, and listen to everything he says to her, and compare the conversations he has with Chantel, it is quite telling. Yes, he has a lot of fun with Chantel, however the actual conversations, does not consist of how he feels about her to the degree or the sincerity he does with Emily. JMO

GA, ITA. Also, take note of whether Brad is looking at Chantel and Emily when taking to them. That should tell us a lot.

It's nice to see the influence that these shows have on our young daughters. Not only can they get an awesome designer ring for less, but they can now get a Vera Wang dress at David's Bridal from her "White" line for (I think) between $600 and $1200ish?
I have no clue who made my dress since it was back in the last century (1984) and my ring was from Penney's. Haha. I am glad we didn't spend half a fortune like you see being spent now since we were done in 1987! At least these shows do foot the bill for the majority of the weddings and the "winners" get all kinds of publicity and free stuff. These shows seem to bring higher expectations of their weddings to young girls today. Say Yes to the Dress? OMG - the prices on some are just insane - although my daughter is now a fan of Pnina (sp?).
My daughter picked Chantal last night as her winner without me spoiling a thing.

According to Brad, he did NOT ask any of them for permission. Until then I assumed, editing had just left it out. Dummy me! But bear with me here.... just for a second... as I am not sure. I can't remember when the choosing of diamonds come into play. And I'll admit, I think this way because it's Emily or is what lead me to reason this out.

Anyway, I think Brad's thoughts on the girls actually taped after the HTDS. Only because of the convenience of flying from Anguilla to Charlotte, in lieu of from A to NY to Charlotte. So if he made that statement about Emily... what was it? She is what he is looking for in a wife... SHE JUST IS. Well I think it was made after the HTDs and if he going to pick out his OWN RING and if he's buying it which he said he would in his first season and reports say he DID... the best place would be in NY with a better selection and not a few on a board the producers have picked out for him displayed for the FIRST time in SA. In other words, that ring was picked before they arrive in SA. JMO
