From another perspective, in the preview it showed him saying he looked at houses (real estate magazine?) while he was flying there...(from Charlotte). Why did a real estate magazine interest him at that point in time?

I've said in the past that I think being around Ricki made him realize that his loft wasn't going to cut it for a family.... but if he was thinking about setting up house with Emily at that point... why mention it to Chantal? that's what doesn't make sense to me

I think Brad said "looking at houses" because he knows he's choosing somebody. It just lets the viewers know he serious about choosing somebody and his condo just wont cut it for two people. And who better to say it to than the girl most think he will chose at the end but this just an opinion.

But he didn't know at the time that most people would think he was going to pick Chantal, so I don't think that logic holds water. Sorry!
