Nice post, thanks. I've been here at fort for a long time, 2004 actually, and I've watched a lot of these shows. Mostly I just go by body language, so this show had me fooled big time because I felt the body language between Brad and Chantal showed a closer relationship than with Emily. They got me! That's ok though, I'm not going to cry foul because I saw it differently. We don't all have to come to the same conclusion, and it's no slight to those that did see it with Emily. Hats off to you! I agree though, that everyone's opinions are valuable and as I try to keep my posts agreeable and within guidelines, it kind of stings to think they are not viewed as legitimate since they don't necessarily go with the general flow. Ah well. It's just a show and having a SIL who was about to fly a class of photography students to Japan today, but thankfully weren't in the air or already there, it's a minor thing to me, in the great scheme of things.

The body language did show a closer relationship between Brad and Chantal. I posted early in the season that Brad was somewhat of a chameleon in that his body language mirrors whomever he is with. Chantal was much more relaxed, she lounged when she sat next to him, and Brad did too. With Emily, she sits erect and so does Brad.

Body language is tough. I was shocked that Andy picked Tessa, I fell for the BL between Andy and Bevin. I was equally surprised that Andrew chose Jen, when his BL screamed Kristen (is that her name?). He literally teared up and looked like he'd been punched in the stomach when his brother revealed she had a boyfriend at home.

RS based his spoiler on a Thanksgiving dinner, rather than information coming out of the FRC. Shaky ground for a prediction, but apparently one that was reliable enough for him. I try not to have a favorite, after all, it isn't me that has to live with the decision. But I do get sucked in sometimes. I loved Shayne, and it was not a popular choice That girl cracked me up.

me too - Chantal slapping Brad was the first red flag for me - I just could not equate that with her being F1 - but I believed RS.

Her emotions, wanting to be sent home, her premature ILY, his reaction to that, calling herself Mr. Womack, Brad saying their connection was electric (ala Andy/Bevin) - all red flags that nagged at me that she wasn't F1 - but I kept believing RS - until the Costa Rica episode when I started to believe Emily could be F1. So glad my instincts were right from the start.

Exactly! I wasn't even going to sleuth this season, but watching that slap the first night, dragged me right back in because I knew maybe just maybe RS is being Fliessed once again!

I'm looking forward to the next season, because I've come to the conclusion RS's spoilers actually are a benefit to us. RE: Thanksgiving Dinner, that IMO was a huge "hellooooo" that Chantal wasn't the F1.

So my plan is to disect everything he says, in order to cross off what may be "Fleissed information".

For those who give him credit about knowing every date etc, IMO he was fed that information on purpose. The viewers who follow RS watch every episode unfold just as RS predicted, why wouldn't they believe Chantal isnt the F1?

Exactly, he was given the date info to give him credibility with no real harm done (who cares who goes home the first night?) So that when he puts out the F1 prediction there's no reason not to believe it. That's how I was anyway. Catalina is what threw me off.. too much too soon. In Costa Rica the coming home in his shirt thing screamed Molly and Anguilla was what sunk the good ship Brantal.

Honestly, I didn't mind. I never was a Brantal fan. Maybe it was because there was no conflict and no resolution (thanks Martin!) But I loved Chantal I thought she was fantastic and real but as far couples go I like the Bremily combo better.

Just a thought...if RS was fed the info regarding Chantal as F1 and then later fed the info that has Emily as F1 it seems to me the "feeder" could further discredit RS by making another F1 switch. I think I'll just sit back and wait until the finale.

Maybe Chantal called him up herself to confirm he was being Fleissed after she saw her edit unfold before her eyes every Monday night

If we didn't have SC evidence that Em is F1 - i would consider this.

This is why sleuthing is different than taking RS's word for it. There are many more reasons to know that Emily is the F1, other than RS being fed, let alone BlondieGal who is a very trusted poster, outscooping him with confirmation.

Its a very long list as to why Emily is the F1, too many to mention. Its a very short list as to why Chantal would have been the F1, 1. RS said so.

I wanted to post this as someone who is a long time poster and even longer time watcher and lurker. I hope that my words draw us closer together because the last thing I want to do is drive a further rift in this discussion (which is in several threads at the moment.)

Sleuthers are any of us who try to figure out who wins before the finale airs with whatever tools they use to figure it out. Sometimes we are right, sometimes not.

Just because you saw Brantal ending until either BG spoiler, RS mind change, or even the release of FRC caps, doesn't mean you are not a sleuther, nor does it make any of your posts less valuable. Your insights may have had nothing to do with the false RS spoiler. Your thoughts were still valuable even though the ending you sought didn't work out. We were able to love Chantal's spunk and personality because of the fans who loved her. How many casual viewers view her as a whiney cry baby and don't see the good in her because of her edit.

Bremily posters had to buck the majority in the beginning, and their insights led me to finally ditch my efforts to prove a false edit pattern. I went back and found it with Bremily and can now enjoy their happy ending, (as well as the payoff that Chantal is happy with new BF in the ATFR!) I was secure in Emily as F1 before RS made his switcheroo.

You can root and be a sleuth. You can remain detatched and be a sleuth. We are all valuable to the picture and we need all of you to sucessfully sleuth. Don't let being on different fanbases cloud your vision that we need each other. Besides next year, you guys might end up rooting for the same girls. I find myself with and counter with different people every year. Point/Counterpoint is necessary and is what makes this board and our enjoyment of this show year in and year out.

There are sleuths on this board who thought Brantal, Bremily, Brashley and Brawntel before evidence put them on a Bremily ending. I for one don't have much use for RS except for him telling me who the final two are. What fooled me for half a year was a false edit by Fleiss not a false spoiler by RS.

Okay, now off my soap box and I wish all a great weekend.

sleuthers don't always get it right, and for some to imply that true sleuthers are always neutral and never get fooled by either an edit, spoilers, or even sc's etc. is pretty condescending IMO I personally saw the chemistry with Brad and Chantal, even before I came to the spoiler board and heard about RS's prediction, so for it to implied that I was part of an "RS" group as opposed to the "sleuthing" group just irks me. I keep digging, and analyzing despite spoilers and I saw something different than a Bremily ending .... and apparently so did many others, who I know, that like me, don't accept what RS says as gospel.

Thanks you!! I was in the other camp as I saw the Brad/Emily connection but I too find it very condescending when people post that what someone sees cant be true because "I have no favorite here and I am neutral ... but this is the edit. This is the way it has always been and this is how it is now. The F1 has toasted with this hand for the past 4 seasons." ... And now if Emily turns out F1 all of these statements will be proven false.

RS reader email and video is up. Doesn't have anything really on the ATFR. Will post if he gets it. Only thing he did say about it was that CH brings up the dating and boyfriend to Chantal and she confirms it.

What is very curious about this ~ is that Chantal had to have
given him that information. It makes sense, doesn't it? He has
no other information on the rest of the show. Kind of makes you
wonder if Chantal has been contacting RS per instructions (or), just
out of sweet revenge! I guess we'll find out on Monday night!
