I interpreted the article that he was still texting her while he was doing the show and that's the proof she had. Yes Laurel apparently was dating Wes while he was on the show with Jillian. She denied it though as did he. The only other time I heard about it was with Brad the first time but I didn't think she did interviews or anything. Sounds like Brad is pulling an Ed.
Somehow I always got the sense that Brad is a leeetle bit smarter than Ed. I don't know, after this all happened during Jill's season, don't you think Brad would know better than to text scandalous stuff to this woman while filming...and especially to this woman who was linked to a Bachelor "scandal" a few seasons ago??Originally Posted by Noobslueth;4186283;

I would think this was juicy news if Laurel had said "Yes!", was wearing an engagement ring, had the dress, booked the church, reception hall and flowers.

Look, we have all known for some time that the show is more than a bit contrived, to say the least. I don't really think we have any illusions (at least those of us that are mature and healthy) that the players on this show are not flawed or looking for fame.
So Brad has a personal life outside the "scripted" show. So does Chantel. So does Emily for that matter (the show either edits out her last few relationships or she doesn't dwell on them). Guess what? So do I and I'll bet a few of the posters here also.
Somehow I doubt that even the "unspoiled" public will be outraged and showing up in Austin today with torches and pitchforks.
Yawn.....
ETA: I seem to remember CH saying in earlier blogs or interviews that Brad and his F1 will have to ride out the tabloids together, but he believed they were already prepared or something similar. At the time we all assumed that it meant dirt about Chantel (or Emily to the posters that wouldn't believe RS was correct about the F1/F2 but have had NO PROBLEM whatsoever wholheartedly accepting the tabloid rumors about Chantel that RS has been alluding to, LOL). Perhaps CH wasn't just talking about Chantel dirt in the tabloids, but Brad as well? I'm guessing, after all the intensive questioning the players on this show go through with the producers, psychologists, etc, that there is very little that TPTB don't know about - or what will hit the fan later.
Yeah, it sure sounds like it, at least that's what RS seems to be gleefully inferring.
As someone upthread said, Laurel certainly hangs around the Bachelor crowd. A quick Google search turned up someone else she dated ... Collin Evans (who?!) ... who was on Jillian's season.
I know it's been said before, but the whole Bachelor-Texas connection is so incestuous - ick!
That's why I was asking (in another thread) if anyone saw the whole article. This is apparently the kind of proof Laurel has on Brad. Frankly, I don't care if she is looking for her 15 mintues ... who isn't on this show? Brad is sounding like an a** and IF it's true he deserves to be called out on it. I take marriage and engagement very seriously and this show makes a mockery of it.
Also, I want to make it clear I don't give Channy a free pass for cheating if that's what she did. Marriage is forever... deal with it. My grandparents ran away and got married at 18 and 50 years later they are still together. No one deserves to be cheated on.
Again all of this allegedly happened I am reserving the verdict at this point.Sadly, RS believing it holds some value for me. Mainly because of the big deal made when he messed up with Jason and Molly I don't think he would do that again. He's knew about this for a while. I wouldn't be surprised in Laurel was his source and he has seen the texts.

Re the bolded:
Did someone conflate this rumor (he was back with Lauren right before the show) with some other recent rumor about him being back with Bettina right before the show. Or do both those rumors exist totally separately? Not sure why I'm asking, but there are certainly a lot of people who want us to think (true or not), that he has fish on lots of lines.
I believe these are two different rumours – Laurel is in US, Bettina was in Life and Style. Until there is some kind of proof I don’t believe either story.
Are we also believing the Chantal rumours just because it came from RS?? I'm not.
