I think she said that on week1 (lofe of her life about ricky).

Everyone has a past after 20. It is of course worse when the past is a love ghost always present.

It is possible that the ring is her security blanket, who knows. It is her engagement ring right? And for me that means that she is STILL engaged with Ricky and gives no room really for the next.

I am not sure (and here I speak for myself only), that I would ever wear the ring. I would sure keep it safe and look a it fondly but wear it? nope

I don't think it's any different than a soldier's wife/fiance wearing his ring on a necklace around her neck after he dies in duty. It's a comfort.

Obviously, when Emily finds THE ONE for her, she will put it away or wear it on her right ring finger. I'm sure THE ONE for her will be THE ONE for her b/c he'll understand the past and will be fine with whatever she chooses to do with it. Who are we to judge??

Seems really risky to me. If Brad noticed and was really concerned about it, I think he would have doubted he should keep Emily because it wasn't going to work.

I think it's more a reflex of slipping it on that finger, I know that's usually where a ring feels more comfortable for me, but of course, knowing the weight and history behind it, she should've thought twice abt it

I am re-watching week3 right now and I just noticed something.

At the end of the couch 1:1 with chantal and brad... they kiss and all of a sudden the camera tiptoes back and the blue curtains go down

It has been metionned on these boards that Emily had 2 small tattoos - I don't know where - but your post was not the first I heard of her tattoos. Don't worry - no big thing ---

the official bios on the girls have a section "tattoo count" ... and for Emily it says one on wrist and one behind the ear.

just wanted to comment on the "ring" issue. I'm a widow and still wear my rings as I still "feel" married. When, or if, I decide I want to see somebody, I'll take them off as I wouldn't think that would be fair to the other party.,.. and if he was widower... and he still wore his... I'd be running in the other direction as IMO he wouldn't be ready. If Emily wants to wear her ring, that's her perogative, of course, but she shouldn't be surprised if Brad chooses not to take a chance on her because of it
