Whew, it helps to vent. Meanwhile, she is making way too much money to be annoying. But I still can't watch this show until she's off it.

Well, whatever show you might see her annoying &^# on, Mary Murphy is certainly one of the most annoying people on the planet.

Paula Abdul, for all that she's nuts and gives USELESS (or no) advice, actually has a bizarre kind of charm. At worst, you pity her. Comparatively, Murphy does occasionally actually give useful advice, I'll give her that, but the other 90% of the time listening to her, you tend to feel like you want to stick salad forks through your ear-holes and directly into your brain, just to escape from her caterwauling.

Kudos to you for replying, and being so exquisitely verbose. I would rather go deaf and blind (uh oh, be careful what you hope for) than have MM be on my TV screen (or radio, Gosh forbid that she moves to that genre).

I am now cringing that MM might be on some other shows? Please give me warning, so I can avoid them at all costs. That woman needs to be off-camera, NOW.

I am missing the dancing talent on the SYTYCD show...but, oh well.

And Nigel (never heard of him before this show, either) is so very annoying (but not as detestable) as MM.

well Mary has migrated to the international SYTYCD she has done Australia this year, and later on in the fall she will be on SYTYCD Canada, yikes now she is in my country-- must run away

No!! No way!! Well there goes my plan to watch SYTYCD Canada. I could put up with her if they bleeped out her laugh. It's soooo irritating.

And what's up with Nigel and his skeevy comments this year? Always commenting on bare skin & long legs. The show is not a pickup joint Nigel.

Oh, and helpmeturnitoff...I couldn't watch it even if they thankfully bleeped out her laugh. There's still her scary, phony smile to contend with <shiver>. She needs a new PR rep (if she even has one, it doesn't seem like it), obviously, to the max.

I would rather Mary just choregraph, she has done some amazing choregraphy Travis and Heidi's Paso Doble comes to mind, but enough with the judging, and Nigel needs to tone down the pervie comments lately its getting eww worthy

You actually should have heard of him, if you watch much reality TV. He's also the (usually off-camera) producer of "American Idol". Ergo, he's in some ways a pretty important guy, at least in Reality show terms.

I actually don't mind him on screen, although I do in a round-about way kind of blame him for some of the stupider reality show conventions introduced on Idol (and now this show), since as the producer he made a lot of those decisions.
