OK. I'm going to throw some cold water on this (Cancer Dance). I LOVED the routine - definitely Emmy material. BUT should that be the goal? This wrenches the competition away from the dancers and places it squarely on the shoulders of the choreographer.

Who can resist the pull of the emotional gravity of something like this? (And we're also talking about Mia's Season 3 "Dead Daddy Dance" as well.) Tyce's emotional journey (and Nigel's and Mary's and Mia's) shouldn't be a factor in the competition.

I don't mind emotional pieces, or dances about serious subjects. It's just when the choreographer says "This is my story" that I have a problem.

Meh Hip Hop from Shane Sparks for Kayla and Jason. IMO they will be B2 if not gone tomorrow.

Kayla and Jason - Hip Hop by Shane Sparks to They're Everywhere
Kind of Thriller-Lite. A little too lite for me.

Judges: Nigel has been dissappointed with the Hip-Hop this season. But he likes this one. Mary said it hit hard and was pure entertainment. For Mia, this was the best Shane Sparks number ever. She especially like the strangling at the end.

    Enjoyed Jason and Kayla's dance!

Shane came with the hip-hop. Loved that choreography.

No idea who'd go instead though. Kayla I guess. Who never was "all that" to me personally, but who the judges LURVE.
Kayla bugs; I'm just not into her. Tired of hearing about her lines. Her dancing is mostly high kicks, over and over.

Was this supposed to be a Thriller homage? seems like weird timing with the Ramalama routine being performed tomorrow night. No comparison to that!
