I have not been a fan of Jason before tonight... but his solo was very interesting, and the dance with Jeanine was FAB!

Ade's solo was just frantic. Even I could have come up with better music interpretation than what he did.

Jeanine Solo - Violento (Up Mix) by Bailongo!
Jeanine - great solo again! Some good leaps and spins and beautiful distinctive style that actually fit the music.

Jason Solo - Train Fare Home by Muddy Waters
Jason is going for originality and style with the Muddy Waters routine. It was OK. (Oh, and how cute is Cat's southern accent!)

Very theatrical - it was like a Broadway audition piece. Get this guy to New York ASAP!

It's interesting that the two best previous pairings basically just switched partners.

And both did pretty well tonight with the results.

No need for a conspiracy, I think. I mean its not like Janette or Melissa were going anywhere no matter what, and the two guys weren't likely to either.

That said, I've always hated HAIR, and that routine didn't really change anything for me. It was well danced. I just hate HAIR.

I wouldn't begin to think of anyone else who could be blamed besides the both of them...?

    I like this routine - I think it's fun.

It's a little hard to take a "Hair" routine and not miss seeing an ensemble, but I did like it.

Monsoon Wedding - Modern story of a wealthy father planning a huge wedding for his daughter's traditional arranged marriage. But everyone is in love with someone else.

Lagaan - Small Indian village is oppressed in the 19th century by the British who tripple their taxes (the lagaan). But British general agrees lift the tax if the poor Indians can beat the English at cricket. Part underdog sports story, part political struggle - and there's an interracial love triangle and of course like all Bollywood it's a musical. It's long with an intermission, but it won the Oscar in 2002 for Foreign Language film.
