The premiere date for the new season has been announced. Show begins Tuesday, May 14th at 8pm.

Auditions were held in or are schedule for:

Austin, TX - Friday, Jan. 18
Detroit, MI - Monday, Feb. 11
Boston, MA - Thursday, Feb. 21
Memphis, TN - Thursday, March 14
Los Angeles, CA - Friday, March 22

I follow Nigel on Twitter, because sometimes he tweets something very interesting about AI (which I'm not watching this year) or SYTYCD. Anyway, he tweeted 5 hours ago that he had a long day. He was in London yesterday morning, then flew into LA and went straight to SYTYCD auditions. I'm guessing the auditions on Friday were the preliminaries, which weed out the people who get to audition for Nigel & Co.

Very glad to know we get another season. Hadn't heard anything.

I'm wondering if we have enough people interested in the show to do a pool. I love So You Think You Can Dance and wouldn't mind running a pool for it. If we decide not to do a pool, I might just set up a thread to make avatars for people to cheer on their favorite dancer(s).

My birthday is the same week as the premiere, so I'm considering the show a present to myself! It truly is my favorite reality tv show, even better than Project Runway.

I was just surprised to find out that SYTYCD starts tomorrow. Then I noticed that I did know about it less than 2 months ago. Isn't the memory the first to go? I can't remember.

Have there been no commercials? Maybe I'm just not watching FOX shows this year, since I'm boycotting AI. I can't stand Nikki. I'll be back next year if she's replaced by somebody respectable and respectful.

Anyway, happy to see SYTYCD is back tomorrow!

Buckeye--My current avatar is for the Dancing With the Stars pool. I borrowed the Hot Tamale Train from SYTYCD for it. I don't have a team picked out for SYTYCD because I don't know who the contestants are yet. I am going to use the same team name for the SYTYCD pool, though. All I have to do is update the pictures of the contestants once I choose them.

I haven't seen many ads/commercials Buckeye, but I've seen a few.

Just watched the video of the all-star photo shoot. If those are indeed the all-stars for the coming season, they are all great!!!!

This is without a doubt my favorite "talent" show. I am excited for the season! I was able to see one of the tours a few years back (I think it was the year that Janette won). These folks are serious dancers and except for some of the visiting judges, there's really not much I could complain about. Bring on SYTYCD!
