This year both So You Think You Can Dance and Cat Deely are nominated in their respective categories again. I wonder how Nigel feels about American Idol not getting the nomination but SYTYCD getting one. I'm ok with it, though American Idol did have its best season from my perspective in years. Anyway...

Stacey Tookie, Christopher Scott, and Spencer Liff are not who I would have picked from SYTYCD, but yay for them. Well, I may have picked Stacey Tookie. Fun fact: Dancing With the Stars got a choreography nomination...for a routine Travis Wall did with Shaping Sound. And Smash got a nomination for routines heavily involving Spencer Liff. SYTYCD needs to stay on my TV after this season and forever.

So happy to see the show get full recognition. The Mr. Jailer routine was a big favorite of mine.

I wonder why the Bollywood routine from Smash (A Thousand and One Nights) didn't get nominated? To me, that was by far the best and most memorable routine of the season! I looked it up on YouTube the day after it aired and watched it over and over.

I didn't know Travis did choreography for Dancing With the Stars. I assumed the professional dancers did choreography for their stars. Or was the routine Travis choreographed one of the extra performances on judging night, not a routine by a star and their partner?

I think it was on the results night. I don't watch the show but I know they bring in performance acts. Shaping Sound is the dance company created by Travis, Nick from season 1, and their friend Teddy.
