Stephen Jacobson irritated the heck out of me. I don't know why he couldn't just do his ballet to begin with. I guess he got the attention he wanted, but his stunt almost cost him his ticket to Vegas.
That whole thing was strange to me. I wonder if it was staged that way, and not entirely by Stephen. There was something about the way Nigel was acting that seemed like he was - acting! Maybe they'd heard about him beforehand, and knew he was talented. When he showed up doing stupid stuff, they knew not to turn him away, and just gave him a scolding and asked for something else.

ETA: Little Sew&Sew, I just noticed you said the same thing about Stephen. I didn't read it before I posted. We're in agreement.

Ballet guy Steven was very good with his made-up-on-the-spot routine but I have to wonder if that wasn't 'staged' for our entertainment
I think it was staged, he just happened to have THE perfect piece of music to dance ballet to. He was an excellent dancer, there was no need for the antics beforehand .

Since I missed it during the show, I just watched the YouTube video of it and I tend to agree.

I agree, something seemed very off about Steven. It was also very off putting as well. Although he showed he can dance, his personality is grating to me, so I am hoping he doesn't make the final cuts in Vegas.

Doofus was the word that came to mind when I watched him dance. I hope he doesn't make it either. There seems to be so much talent to choose from this season so will keep my fingers crossed. One thing about this show, the producers want the best not the drama, thank heaven!!!

Correct, we don't need the drama.I don't even need all the stories either.

I dont mind a little background, but when they go into chapter and verse, I tune out

While I agree and am thankful, I can't help but notice the few amount of posts for this show and wonder how it does in the ratings.

They already put through two terrific male ballet dancers, so I also hope Stephen doesn't make it past Vegas.

I take that back about the pole because her legs came from Joffrey training; absolutely gorgeous.
I didn't mind Eliana liking pole dancing - there is use of it to my knowledge in the Viva Elvis production and it's no where near the "slutty" intonation that we usually here about. It can be very elegant without the strip club aspect that people associate it with.

That said, she is a much more talented dancer than just that aspect of dance, so I hope she goes far and uses her Joffrey skills more than the pole dancing.
