That Rachel girl really wasn't very good. I'm surprised she is Shane Sparks assistant. They couldn't have found someone better to dance with Russell? He did great though.

edit: Ok, I'll give the girl a bit more slack, she just stepped in this morning.

Anyway, Russel doesn't have any dance training and I'm wondering if his lack of training leads to injuries, not to himself but to his partners as this is the second time his partner has been injured in rehearsals. Opinions?
Russell has had training. He trained at the Boston Art Academy!

I htink it woud be interesting to seen Russell dance with Elleanor. They both like to hit such precision moves.

I agree, that would have been a good pairing for sure.

Russell has plenty of training, just not much "professional" training. See my post here in Russell's thread for details.

Ryan & Kathryn - Cha Cha (Jason Gilkison) to Put Your Hands On Me

This should be good for both of them. Hot hot hot - this is where Ryan shines. He's had a tough couple of weeks - good to let the audience see what he's capable of. And Kathryn is right there with him. Loved the slide around his leg. And that upside down ending! Great job!

    [Standing Ovation from studio]

Adam: One of the best ballroom routines on the show from Jason! So hot! Very connected. Kathryn is surging; been getting better every week - but never expected anything like this. Beautiful team work.

Mary: The whole floor was in fire! The chemistry; the power; the effortlessness. So many connections had to happen to make this work. Ryan - unbelievable! Two tix on HTT! First class!

Nigel: Jason turned ballroom into a complete form of entertainment. Kathryn looked like a Latin ballroom dancer. Everything I didn't like about Ryan in the disco was perfect in this magical routine. So impressive!

I've never been a Kathryn fan, and I still hate the crying thing that she does (though she cries less than Legacy at least), but I grudgingly admit that she is a good dancer and seems to pull off anything they throw at her.

Truly? I admit I haven't seen every episode, however, I have heard he didn't have any formal training. OK, so maybe he's just too strong for his partners and they get dinged a little. I guess I just find it odd that the same guy has had 2 partners injured in the same season. Bad luck or he's just not used to working with partners as his style of dance is alone.

Maybe Kathryn is paying him under the table to knock off the competition?

Jakob & Mollee – Broadway (Joey Dowling) to Easy Street from Annie

Hate the costumes - what is that on Jakob? Oh, thank god he got rid of it. Good straight down the middle Broadway number. But it only uses about 10% of what Jakob can do. Mollee does well with the ditzy blond role.

Adam: Showed the best of these two performers. Mollee benefited from Jakob and Joey's routine.

Mary: Fell right into that style; the leg kicks, the leaps - well matched.

Nigel: Mollee - this has taken you into the realm of a professional dancer - should go to Broadway. Jakob reminds me of Joel Grey. This style is absolutely perfect for the pair.
