6/18 Show Discussion Thread **SPOILERS**

I wasn't surprized to see Ashley go based on her solo and I really like Caitlin (though I get the feeling there may not be many here who do) so I'm glad she stayed. I liked her solo best of the girls. I was sorry to see Max go. I liked his solo and Kupono's was awful.

Sorry to see Max go, but more happy to see Jason and Kupono stay. I liked all three girls, but they did make the right choice. Her solo really was lackluster. Beautiful girl though.

I missed the elimination show, but WTH based on last night and even last week, Kupono and Caitlin should have gone. Kupono was crap on the Hip Hop he screwed up the performance for his partner, and Caitlin was horrible last night and even she messed up a bit on the Bollywood routine. Stupid to get rid of the ballroom dancer over another stupid contemporary dancer, what was the excuse probably because Max was as good as Kayla and they didn't want anyone outshining the "chosen one". Stupid.

Yeah... kinda disappointed with the judges' decision tonight.
Kupono seems just like a lesser version of Mark to me... as creative and unique as he probably is, he seems fall short with his execution. I mean honestly, what was he doing with that solo?! Definitely not something to put your life on the line for.
Caitlin on the other hand did a great job on her solo, but I still think Ashley is the more well-rounded dancer.

B3 consisted of Shane Sparks' couples and Brian Friedman's couple. We sure did miss them.

If I was Ashley, I'd be pissed. Her solo wasn't great, but she outdanced Kupono by miles. Speaking of Kupono, his solo sucked. When he stopped dancing, I think he thought that his 30 seconds were over when there were about 2 seconds left on the clock. Ugh, Max should have stayed over him.

Ugh, Kayla's going to be stuck with Kupono.

I know, I'm not looking forward to that partnership at all!

I kind of hope that Kayla lands in the bottom next week just so that she can get a new partner. But none of these guys particularly impress me (I like Phillip somewhat, but only as a person), so I don't know.

Kupono better bring it next week, or it'll make me even more upset about Max's elimination.

I keep forgetting about this elimination show coming on. That's 2 weeks in a row, now. Does anyone know if this can be seen anywhere else?

I'm fine with the elimination. Ashley was my choice to go simply because there are so many others just like her on this season and Max just never did anything for me. I would have been fine with him or Kupono going. While I preferred Kupono at first, he has failed to impress me since the initial audition so he could have gone....actually Jason as well. I would have been fine with any of these guys going home. I think America got it right with the B3.

The constant adoration the judges have for Kayla is backfiring already. If she truly is the chosen one? Then they need to back off before they get her eliminated. I personally am sick of it and am beginning to want her gone because of it. Sad because I adored her during the auditions and I love her teary eyed grandpa but I don't love having a contestant constantly shoved down my throat. I actually prefer Karla, she's fast becoming a favorite (Melissa too).

Actually the popular version of that song was by "Steam"...never heard of them again, either. I never knew Head East covered it either...are you sure? (another one hit wonder with Never Been Any Reason)

OOPS...my bad, Steam is correct. I always did get those 2 mixed up. Too much "fun" in the 70's I guess!

I still cannot believe they sent Max home over Kupoonyawwn. Poor Kayla.

What was up with Ashley's solo anyway? After watching her tape about how many times she tried out and HOW badly she wanted it....that was the solo she thought would save her? really??

All three solos in the bottom three were better than that horrid tango Phillip and Jeanine did. I love what Phillip does, but naturally, he is not a well rounded dancer. He's got a huge following though, and seems like a great guy. I just hope he doesn't turn into another Cedric. I think he went and took lessons before this season, so probably not. We'll see.

I am sad to see Max go... probably locks Jonathan in as he is the only remaining male ballroom, and that is a shame because Max is way better than Jonathan IMO.

Who knows what the judges are thinking at any given moment, but maybe they feel that Jonathan has the potential to be more diverse.? (Can't decide whether I really want to make that a statement or a question) And yeah, can you imagine being as talented as Kayla and getting Kupono, who though different, is boring.

I have to agree I think she was shocked when they told her she was bottom three ~ the look on her face said it all..("what? me?..the dance "queen"?) I think that she is a gifted dancer and has great personality, but I have to agree with the "pimping" part and the judges do need to back off the "worshipping" of her or she will get the boot.
