I just want to say I was so looking forward to Evan getting the Broadway genre, his specialty. He has been my fave from day one. He is a Gene Kelly type dancer. He does those great leaps where he seems to just hang in the air for a moment. I just wish they had choreographed him a Gene Kelly type routine rather than a Bob Fosse type. This is purely selfish on my part because I just wanted to see that. He did fine but the other kind of routine would have been spectacular. Now I know this is part of the show--dancing stuff that isn't your forte. Just being selfish. I'm sure he will get "Broadway" again and I hope the next routine will be more tailored to his style. That said, he has done great with most of genres he's had.

I think he was probably spitting nails to not get the routine Phillip got with the sofa.

He would have KILLED that routine.

The only thing that I could find fault with in Evan and Randi's routine was the music. The song is a good one . . . . just not THAT version of it.
There's another version of that song?

I liked it, personally, but I'd like to know who did the original.

That would have been soooo awsome. I would love to see Evan do a Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire type routine.

How awesome was it to see PASHA again? Loved that he got to work with Evan . . . . two of my favorites on the screen at the same time!

"I Only Have Eyes For You" was originally recorded by the Flamingos (1959).

It was also used in the Broadway musicals 42nd Street and Tea For Two.

It's been covered by many artists, including Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Carly Simon, and in my favorite version: Art Garfunkel.

I still don't get how he gets through every week without being in the bottom three couples.
It's all Randi probably because Evan is one of the weaker dancers in the competition.

LOL! I thought you were talking about Koop Island Blues, the song to which they performed Mia's contemporary routine.

I'm well familiar with "I Only Have Eyes For You." Not old enough to have heard it when originally recorded, but old enough to know THAT song.

Evan has the most loyal fans, but he hasn't been giving people outside of his camp good enough reasons to come in and join the party. Now that the competition is coming in to the home stretch - it's the masses of undecided voters that will make the difference. He desperately needs to get Wade, Mia, or Tyce to craft a number around his strengths. He had Mia the first week, and it was his best number. But he really needs something spectacular now if he is going to win new fans and give him a chance in the finale.
