I'm really looking forward to tonight and seeing if my observations match up to the OMG!!!! comments that have been spoilered about Mondays show in other forums. I hope so because I seriously need to be WOWed by some of these contestants and soon. All the other seasons by this time I have selected some already that have knocked me for a loop and I'm waiting anxiously to see what they will do next. Hasn't happened yet.

blech we get another Quickstep routine, I think I saw only one couple ever do it well on the show and that was Season 3 with Lacey and Kameron, everyone else has bombed. I wonder how Chelsea and Thayne will do at it. If they bomb out again like last week's Jazz routine you bet they will be in the bottom 3 again.

I read on another forum each couple is performing two dances this week YIKES I thought that happened at top 10 Nigel is switching things around I guess:

Here's the top 14 and their dances:

Jessica/Will - Danced the jive and Mandy Moore's "lyrical jazz."
Thayne/Comfort - Danced Andy's Broadway and the Smooth Waltz. the guest choregrapher is Andy I guess he is doing the group dance also.
Matt/Kourtni-Dance Hip Hop-Cicely and Olisa and Mambo
Gev/Courtney G-Dance Hip-Cicely and Olisa and Broadway to On the Town
Joshua/Katee-Dance Mia Michaels Contemporary and a Benji Schwimmer West Coast Swing number
Twitch/Kherington - Danced the Paso and Mia Contemporary.
Mark/Chelsie - Danced Mandy Moore jazz and a foxtrot.

TWO dances? They're really piling on the pressure this season, aren't they? I can't (never really could) imagine how the contestants find it within themselves to learn 2 dances each AND and group number.

I'm looking forward to:
* Mandy Moore's jazz pieces for Jessica/Will and Mark/Chelsie. If they are anything like the Sabriel table routine, or the piece Matt/Kourtni messed up in Week 1, they should be great.
* Both of Joshua/Katee's routines and Twitchington's routines.

I'm not looking forward to:
* Thayne/Comfort. I can imagine them hamming it up for the Broadway one, but the smooth waltz? Mmmph. I sort of pity them, because I know (and I think everyone else does) that they're going to be cut within the next few weeks, for sure.

4. Courtney & Gev - Cha Cha (Anya and Pasha!) + Jazz (mandy)
5. Twitch & Kherington - Krump (Lil C) + Smooth Tango (Jean Marc)
6. Katee & Josh - Viennesse Waltz (Jean Marc) + Bollywood

to add on to the previous post. based on what i've been hearing....

1. mark/chelsie: judges gave mark some negative comments from mary and mia on their respective categories. but overall they did pretty well. nigel gushed about chelsie's legs.
2. comfort/thayne: judges were hating on them in both categories.
3. will/jessica: contemporary was good. will was shirtless again. judges didn't love the quickstep.
4. courtney/gev: their cha cha was hot hot hot. prepackage is cute. jazz was good too. cool concept. they did really well overall and judges love their chemistry.
5. twitch/kherington: twitch was awesome in the krump, kherington was good for first half of it. tango was not as good. twitch especially had a hard time adapting to the style.
6. katee/josh: waltz is to the song iris by googoodolls. judges said josh is too bouncy in waltz. mia says katee a gift to dance. bollywood is supposed to be really awesome.

look for russian force in crowd: anya, pasha, dmitry, and faina.

Me too. I also think Chelsie is strong and would be able to really do well.

Bollywood is lots of fun to watch when done well.

I'm really excited about the Bollywood! Not really familiar with it but stoked to hear that Katee and Joshua got great reviews!

Katee is rapidly becoming my top pick this season...she seems to embrace every style and be able to pull all of them off with personality plus.
