I'm not sure if I wasn't seeing things right, but I always look out for the judges' reactions to the contestant's solos - and was shocked that none of them clapped for Twitch! I loved his solo, so I couldn't believe it. (I hope I'm wrong... will review the tape later. :nod)
One of the best solos this year - I'm glad he got a chance to do it. I'd forgotten how good he was in his own style.
I caught that also! But Nigel later said that he loved his solo, so maybe they were just tired. :lolQuote:

It's possible that the judges clapped for his solo and we just didn't see it, either because of the cameras cutting back and forth or because of editing or something like that.Quote:

I like Twitch but I think he does much better in his solos than with the choreography (not counting the hip hop ones of course!). Joshua and Mark both seem to breathe life into most of their routines but Twitch struggles more. Now as a solo artist, he is awesome, so fun and original!

Tony Basil said something Wednesday night that expressed what I feel about Twitch's dancing. I can't remember exactly how she put it, but it was in reference to how he dances from the inside out. How he brings to life choreography that dancers who are trained, and specialize in, tend to just 'dance'. That is what has endeared me to him since the auditions of last season.
In music, it wasn't his ability to sing that made Frank Sinatra such a brilliant musician. It was his ability to phrase and bring life to a song that made him great. It wasn't a technical expertise, it came from somewhere within. That's what I see in Twitch.
Whether he wins or not is of no consequence. There's no credibility to this 'competition'. I'm just thrilled I had the opportunity to witness Twitch week after week. Thanks Twitch! :up
I was so relieved that Twitch was cut and it was Will to go. I still miss Gev but I like the guys left much better than Will.
Saw where Josh and Twitch were hospitalized for dehydration. As hard as they both dance, that is not a big surprise. They are both expected to be ready for the finale tomorrow night! :clap
