Apollo is not going to be on, though it was rumored that he would be. I think he's too smart to get involved in this mess, and I say that as a tremendous figure skating fan.

The "stars"/skaters are Bethenny Frankel/Ethan Burgess; Johnny Mosley/Brooke Castile; Rebecca Buding/Fred Palascak; Brandon Mychal Smith/Keana McLaughlin; Sean Young/Denis Pethukov; and Vince Neil/Jennifer Wester. I confess I may not have all those names spelled correctly as I wrote them down rather hastily.

I've never heard of any of those skaters.
And, I'm a pretty big fan of ice skating.

At least on Fox's Skating show, the skaters were recognizable.

I think I may have to skip the axels and so caw's (sp?) and miss this.

I read ABC didn't want the skaters to overshadow the "stars" and impact any voting/scoring (sort of like what the pros have done at DWTS; sometimes they're the more well known of the pair).

Apolo was rumored to be involved, and I thought it might be true since he took part in the 200th team dance pick 'em. I guess they just wanted 2 skating Olympian champions. I'll never pass up seeing Apolo, though I've actually heard of all but 1 of those "stars". I heard Sean Young has been wanting to do DWTS for a long time but kept getting turned down. I guess this is better than nothing Surprised ABC wouldn't got for putting Bethenny or Rebecca on DWTS. I never watch the Housewives series, so unless they make headlines, I don't know anything about them. Obviously I've heard of Bethenny.

So much like DWTS, we've got:

The reality star: Bethenny Frankel
The soap star: Rebecca Budig
The "icon": Sean Young
The Disney star: Brandon Smith
The singer: Vince Neil
The Olympian: Jonny Mosley

No word who their partners will be, or who the judges/host is. Not sure if that cast beats Skating with Celebrities.

I've only heard of one of the "stars." Correction 2 but I couldn't pick the other one out of crowd as I've only heard the name.

Since I can't recognize the skaters or the stars I probably won't watch this show.

I'm DELIGHTED about the cast list cause I never would've watched the show unless someone I really enjoy was on it. And I really enjoy Bethenny Frankel as well as Sean Young and Rebecca Budig. So I'm happy, and am looking forward to the show starting.

Sometimes trainwrecks are the most fun to watch. I think this might be a very big trainwreck. How come Snookie isn't a contestant?

Didn't think I would be interested in watching this but after seeing the list of "stars" I think it's going to be a hoot!

I give them credit for being willing to even try this, let alone be successful at it.
