    Jim - Shear Genius 1

    Age: 49

    Hometown: Buffalo, New York

Current Salon: New York City-based freelance hair and make up artist

    Signature Style:
Textured cutting and styling of the hair

    Mentor(s): Bonnie Anthon, Garren

A hair and makeup artist with 30 years experience, Jim wanted to compete in “Shear Genius” to fulfill a dream. He wanted to show his quirky side and his love of being on camera while challenging himself in the competition. Jim's work consists of hair styling for celebrities, editorials and fashion shows.

Jim has been the spokesperson for various makeup and hair brands over the years and has been lucky enough to present these new products to the beauty editors and the general public. He has also been the on-air beauty expert on many talk shows and morning shows. Jim has also been featured in all the major fashion and beauty magazines as both an artist and a beauty expert.

Hair and makeup is Jim's passion (especially taking period hair and making it new) and he loves black and white films for his inspiration.

Wow. Just wow. This guy is wayyyy too much already. He's the unhinged-contestant of this reality show.

How sad that she couldn't even run a comb throught he hairdo!

    I predict an early release.

can he possibly look any creepier!?! He practically ruined the model's hair, didn't listen to what she wanted and now he's gone. At least he left graciously.
