Oh come on, I think Melissa's story was quite touching. From her biography:
Quote:
At the tender age of 13, Melissa, a remarkable teen from Tarzana, California, faced a life altering challenge. Having been diagnosed with severe scoliosis, she underwent an intense surgical procedure that placed two titanium rods on either side of her spine, correcting the problem but also ending her career as an aspiring and talented gymnast.

Is Pomona a well-known school? I'm from Canada and have never heard of it, but have heard of all the others they will be attending.

Nothing in this particular episode. Just her comments about how much she had changed and grown reminded me off her earlier talking about her boyfriend and going on about how going back to him after each break-up was mistake, stuff like that . . . Sorry for the arcane reference.

It's a very good liberal arts college. It is one of the Claremont Colleges which also includes Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, Harvey Mudd, and Scripps. Here's a link:

Harvey Mudd is very prestigious for science/math types. I don't know about the rest of the Claremont Colleges, but their campus is beautiful.

Umm, for those wondering, Pomona is actually a pretty good school. Its a smaller liberal arts school on level with Amherst, Swarthmore, Williams, etc.
