But does the band want someone who obviously wants to just imitate their former singer?

"Come As You Are" - underwhelming.

"Pretty Vegas" - Performance good, but could hardly understand what he was saying. The bit with the mic stand in the crotch was a little like Jessica doing her strip tease...

I will also admit that I was singing along to Pretty Vegas in the crowd....I think LAGuy is rubbing off on me

    I was there.

    I know what I saw.
    I know what I heard.

J.D. blew the roof off the place.

    That is all.

JD Come as You Are (dedicated to all of our brothers and sisters along the Mississippi) and original composition Pretty Vegas

Dave: Amazing set, it was awesome, I felt like I was in a stadium watching you. That was truly exciting. I love what you did with the Nirvana song, we've done a lot of them on this show and that's the first time I've heard it done differently and I was able to hear the song in a brand new way. It was totally cool. I also liked how you stuck to the original song you wrote when you broke away from your pack (during the team songwriting clinic)...it's catchy, I was singing along with it.

INXS: I really loved your take on Come as You Are and your original song was great. They compliment each other really well, it made a good little set there, well done. The last few weeks your performances haven't been as good as earlier in the series, but I think you're back.

Perhaps not, but it is nice to see someone who generally does not like him be able to be objective.

Then again, I reserve the right to not like everything Marty, Mig et al do, so to each their own.
