[QUOTE=Mantenna]Rock Star: INXS 8/09/05 Recap: The Passion of the Ty
Brandon says that this performance would bring him out of the bottom three and pull out “the whole shemageggy.” Well, he doesn’t disappoint. Brandon always sounds great with bluesy, “southern rock” material, and he dances the Calhoun two-step, to boot. Is he right for INXS? I don’t know, but we’ve found a new frontman for the Allman Bros. Band.
On NO!!! PLEASE NO!!!
I LOVE the Allman Brothers Band and while Brandon does bare a slight resemblance to the departed (from the band, not this earth) Dickey Betts, he is an a**hole. And he can't sing as well as either Dickey or Gregg either.
Loved your recap, it was great, but being a "southern rock" aficienado, I don't think I could stand it if one of THE great Southern rock bands end up with Brandon. Let him end up singing in a bar band. That seems to be more his speed.

Ah, Myrosiedog, bless you . . . that statement was completely tongue-in-cheek. I love the Allman Brothers Band, too, and wouldn't want to subject them to Brandon.
Thanks for the comments, everyone! You guys are too kind.
Ah, Mantanna, me no get the subtleties sometimes.
I wouldn't subject Brandon on anyone. What WERE the producers thinking when he was cast? He has some talent, but that is completely disregarded when he opens his mouth to talk rather than sing.
"Eat a Peach" Brandon!!!!
Hee! I love the title. "The Passion of the Ty." Genius!
