J.D. was raised between Nova Scotia and Toronto in the country listening to his grandfather sing. Jason began performing at a very young age. He left high school when he was offered a job on a television show.
J.D. was involved with a rock band for six years when he enrolled in the Canadian Army to continue the family tradition. Four months later, he instigated his departure via discharge. He then worked as an Elvis impersonator for the next few years.
J.D. has performed in the Friendship Festival and at the Skydome in Toronto in front of 50,000 people. He is a die-hard INXS fan. He loves being on stage and connecting with the audience. He most recently worked as an entertainer and writer (pop songs) for a television show in Ontario.
A strict vegetarian, J.D. is also a martial arts instructor. His birth date is September 1, 1973.
