It is hot, Dinah. We went into the backyard an hour ago and lasted only 10 minutes. This is the time of year in Texas where my poor kids don't get to play outside much.

Seems like it gets hotter every year. I hate that it's a hundred degrees already and only early June. Makes you wonder what August will feel like. Ugh.
I love you, you love me, we're a happy family...

Today was our hottest day so far this year. It was 96 degrees this afternoon. I can't remember the last time it rained.

Today's been rainy and cold, with highs in the low 60s.

I spent last week in Colorado where it was totally sunny and between 95 and 100 each day. To come home to this cold rain was a shock, but I love it 'cause unlike Denver, when it's hot here it's humid (and stifling) so I don't miss that. Yeah, it's good to be able to breathe.

Well its overcast here today. We have a tropical depression hanging off the coast that is supposed to be a tropical storm by later today and hit our coast sometime tomorrow or tues.
Hopefully it won't be strong and we need the rain.
Otherwise its been blazing hot and humid as well. UGH.

It's about 85 degress right now but supposed to reach mid nineties later. The sun is shining brightly and it was beautiful when I went out to get the paper about 5:30. Never heard so many birds.

I have been extremely lazy today..my son is staying at his dads so I don't have to get up and do anything so its 11:30 a.m. and I'm still in my PJ's but when I look outside, it looks as warm today as it was yesterday (90's and muggy) so I'll be keeping my booty in again today!

I don't mind the heat but I can't stand the muggy part of it! It's stifling!

The last time we saw 99, was when Gretzky played with the Oilers!

It's still cold, +12, rainy, drizzly, gloomy, dreary, poopy, schmoopy, doopy, crappy, sappy, drappy, schmappy drat ugly for June.

Tropical Storm Alberto is giving us a lot of rain today, but we need it. It's been hot and there have been numerous wildfires due to dry conditions. So as long as all he does is soak us and that is all that is expected (little wind) I can live with this dreay, rainy, dark day. In fact, its refreshing from the scorching heat.

Well in 3 hours Albertos winds have increased from 50 to 70 mph and they said it wasn't organized enough to strengthen. 4 more mph and its Hurricane Alberto.

We are really getting lashed with rain. No wind, but really steady downpour here which we need. I just hope it continues past us as its expected to hit land farther north tomorrow. I hope it doesn't do much damage where it does hit.
