It snowed! Yay!

It hardly ever snows here, and it is expected to snow about a foot more overnight!

Jewelsy.

Before this winter came, I wasn't aware that the water coming from the sky actually had a name, but it is raining again today. It's around 50 degrees, though, so I don't dare complain about our weather after reading what some of you are going through.

This weather reminds me of when I lived in Santa Cruz... in 1998, when it really, really rained. I lived on the UCSC campus, and at one point we lost our heat, trees fell in front of the campus entrance- it was a mess.

The last I looked outside the rain was falling sideways. Joy.

I spent about 20 minutes scraping almost 1/2 inch of ice off my car this morning from the freezing rain yesterday. :phhht I borrowed everyones elses vehicle in the house til no- one was around , and I was finally forced to do it. I hate ice when it covers everything.

ok. before i could go to work i had to shovel 4" of snow out of the driveway. then tonight i had to shovel 3" of snow. our snow from last week hasn't even melted yet. I got 12" of gate left on my 3 foot gate so that tells you how much I got in my yard. this is the worst I have seen in 10 years of living in Reno. and they are calling for snow till tuesday, not the band ,the day!
