    To commercial on a scream...

    That's the FOX touch.

I wonder if Tammy Nakamura will be jealous of Mela's closet now and demand her husband build her a bigger one.

IMHO: A load of formulaic garbage...

Okay, I'm probably inviting a bunch of harsh replies, but this whole show stunk of formulaic excess.

    1) I'm sorry, those triplets aren't construction people. From the way they held their sledge hammers, to their astonishment of how a concrete pump works ("backfiring?!?"), to the fact that they only showed them in prepared clips... ooh, they're moving stuff... ooh, they're dropping sod onto the ground. I might eat my words, but it seemed like a set up. Lemme see 'em building stuff Amy Wynn style, then I'll be impressed. Until they, they're just eye candy and a play off stereotypes.

    2) I'm not sure I even believe the designer woman was a designer. You never saw her designing anything, just walking in and criticizing and saying "Are we going to get done on time?" almost as if on cue.

    3) Project lead throwing a tantrum... sorry, that seemed staged too. "We had an argument! Oooh, the drama!"

    4) The make-overs... okay, so it's only a week and you can't expect the world. But it was about as much make-over as you might expect from a trip to JCPenney. Some new clothes and quick hair do. When they showed the people climbing out of the limo, I was thinking... "So?"

In the end, so they have a new house, and it's a lot of new stuff. Yeah, cool. I just think maybe they're trying to do too much, even in two hours. And I still say this is just another formulaic entry and an exercise in "more is better"... and by "more" I mean more stuff they're trying to do. And in trying to do too much, they glom over anything really interesting.

Glad Doc Phil's son got his 15-minute break into show biz though.

    Chris
